As Pole Folder continues to bathe in the warm glow of "A Glimpse into the Past", the iconic Belgian producer now looks in the mirror to see a parallel world. In near synchronicity, Particles releases its own edition of the stellar track including remixes from Italy and Brazil.

Operating out of the ancient Sardinian capital, Carlo Whale, is an artist with a sizeable reputation. With over 250 production credits already to his name, the Cagliari resident has established himself within the underground dance fraternity since early work in the trance genre in 2011. Since then, the Italian has created a cultured sound that has seen him sign for such blue-chip imprints as, Steyoyoke, EIN2 and Tulipa. Indeed, the "Landing" EP for the latter in April 2018 was a notable highlight, as was July 2018's debut for Einmusika with the beautiful "Silent Night", part of the "Bella Mar 05" compilation series. Making his Particles debut, Carlo Whale makes intelligent use of the melodic motif so central to Pole Folder's original by using it as a launching platform for his own unique interpretation. A series of flowing melodic lines coruscate across the six-minute piece in sublime fashion, redolent in analogue character, before a searing lead line cuts through the mix, heralding the third movement denouement. A strong beat and ticking percussive groove provide the perfect rhythmic counterweight in a work of genuine craft and guile.

Brazilian pair, Demitros and Dante Pippi, have become established names in their Paraná home with regular DJ performances across the state. Production work has run in tandem with Pippi featuring on the likes of Devotion Records and Orange Recordings since a debut for Dope in October 2015. Similarly, Demitros has seen his work signed to The Alien Gate and Saturate Audio, while the "Quantum Tunneling" EP marked a 24-carat debut on Particles with remixes from Kastis Torrau & Donatello and Nicolas Rada. With the pair making their collaborative debut on Jelly For The Babies', One Of A Kind imprint in July 2018, Demitros & Dante Pippi now take their Particles bow with a dark and brooding remix. Bristling with grooved bassline dominance, a robust kick and off-beat hi-hat cadence form the foundations for a new variation on "A Glimpse into the Past" that makes intelligent use of themes resonant in the original. Creating a new melodic direction that centres around a new lead line that gradually reveals itself across the eight-and-a-half-minute track in mesmerising fashion, the track reaches a thrilling climax post-breakdown with foundations rooted in Pole Folder's past.

With over 7 million plays and counting on YouTube Compuphonic's 2011 collaboration with Marques Toliver, 'Sunset' raised the bar pretty high. Since then Maxime has gone on to produce remixes for the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Gotye even and fellow Belgians The Subs (winning a Red Bull award in the process) and release two acclaimed EPs on Berlin label Exploited.

Now finally Maxime and Marques have reunited for a new EP on Exploited, 'Magical Shoes', and the results are everything we could have hoped for.

Having delivered two huge club hits in 2014 with ’Radio Atlantis’ and ’O Cypres’, Belgian star Compuphonic returns this February with his third EP for Exploited, ‘Magical Shoes’. 2 tracks of sublime House music, the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP sees Compuphonic finally reunited with the Beyoncé approved American singer Marques Toliver, whose vocals previously graced Maxime’s 2012 breakout hit ’Sunset’.

Once again this Transatlantic pairing have struck gold as Compuphonic’s distinctive brand of deeply emotional, nuanced, House Music provides the perfect setting for Marques’ plaintive vocals. With it’s distinctive Korg M1 organ and shuffling beats ‘Magical Shoes’ instantly brings to mind legendary ‘90s New York clubs like The Sound Factory but thanks to Compuphonic’s production skills it goes well beyond that of simple period pastiche and sounds utterly fresh for 2015, a bonafide club hit that is already peppering the sets of DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Tensnake and The Magician.

As the title suggests the EP’s 2nd track ‘The Sun Does Rise’ is the natural successor to the duo’s previous outing. As deep as the Pacific Ocean this is a trance inducing hymn to hope, music designed to elevate the soul as much as move the body and bring some much needed warmth back to clubland. Expect to hear this played everywhere and anywhere this year where the party goes through the night and the first morning light breaks over the dancefloor.

Recorded in the famous Vantage Point Studios in Antwerp - dEUS’s own recording studio, a special, inspiring moment for Maxime, a lifelong fan of the band - the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP cements his position as one of Europe’s most talented producers and with remixes to come soon on Carl Craig’s Planet E and more original material on Exploited, the future is looking bright for Compuphonic.

XYZ - Solution (Kenton Slash Demon's 4/4 Therapy)

Reed Kackley, the Brooklyn-based producer aka BAILE, makes texturally rich dance music inspired by house and downtempo.

His EP, ‘Matter’, released last July, combined minimal electronic compositions with lush vocal performances by featured artists like Felicia Douglass (Ava Luna, Gemma) & Marie Kim (Blank Paper). In addition to receiving airplay by Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1), two singles from the EP landed in the top 5 of Hype Machine’s ‘Most Popular’ chart. Kackley has also recently remixed artists like Baio, Mansionair & Doe Paoro.

On the subject of his creative process, BAILE explains: “When I’m listening to music I find myself more drawn to individual sounds and textures within a song rather than the songs as a whole. During the writing process, I focus on juxtaposing raw elements with synthetic ones, creating something that can feel crisp and clean but also organic and natural. I’m always striving for a really open, clear mix where every nuance of each sound can be heard.”

BAILE’s new EP ‘Stay Safe’ puts the production in the foreground, blending foley sounds recorded in various locations over the past year, with warm analog synthesizers & subtle vocal textures and we premiere 'Spill' today.

The union of Argentina and Serbia based producers have come up for 'Persian' EP - two striking and saturated tracks, something we deeply felt while the first listening.
Duo of Brigado Crew and Crisstiano has recently released enough goodies via Diynamic, Suara, Jeudi, so 'Persian' with its mantra vocals throughout effective and melodic smoothness of the synths and their envelope is the sound we like and push.
We got 'Voznja' as the 2nd track on release done together with Space Motion (Timeless Moment, Glasgow Underground), inspirational and deep thing perfectly fitting the overall mood of the release.

Paul Angelo & Don Argento have achieved remarkable success over the last calendar year. The Cyprus based duo have found their way into the sets of Hernan Cattaneo and with recent releases on Movement Recordings and Soundteller Records the future looks bright. Now making their much anticipated Sound Avenue debut the duo present one of their best productions to date in ‘Durendal’. Dark, chugging grooves have become a hallmark for Paul and Don and they’ve carved out another beauty here. Bursting with ultrasonic qualities and rugged character it sets the perfect foundation for a variety of trippy motifs to work their magic. It’s ominous narrative builds which each successive loop, perfectly setting up a masterful break, where just the right splash of emotion delivers a magical drop and exhilarating finale.

PREMIERE: Paul Angelo & Don Argento - Durendal (Original Mix) [Sound Avenue]

John Johnson’s ICONYC imprint continues its strong summer schedule by welcoming GuyRo to the label for his debut EP. The Spanish based artist has continued his borderless production approach this year, most notably with a well received remix for label affiliate Hydrogen in June. Now embarking on the biggest release of his career GuyRo steps up to ICONYC for his debut EP entitled ‘Avalon‘. 

Beginning with the aptly named ‘Dubstruck’, you’re met with dubbed out soundscapes, tasteful arps and a heavy late night groove. It’s free flowing modular storyboard is a delight for the mind, transitioning the piece into a dramatic, sensory rich break, before launching into a hypnotic yet highly emotive conclusion.

The companion piece ‘The Deeper Mind’ sits as a perfect complement with its similar sonic profile. Spanning eleven minutes it’s a vocal narrative which initially burrows deep into your subconscious, perfectly setting up a wobbly, hook heavy arp. Buzzing swells add moments of tension throughout the first act, before eventually melting down into a thought provoking break. Clocking in at two minutes the expansive centrepiece is rich in character, as the vocal, arp and sweeping synths unite for moments of profound psychedelia. 

Perhaps primarily thought of as a progressive house producer this two track artist showcase makes it abundantly clear that something very special is taking place in GuyRo’s studio, one where genre and stylistic blueprints are lifted for an all encompassing aural experience.

Mysterious project Cornucopia releases its sophomore EP, 'Forever Gone' on Canada based label microCastle. The EP's title track, a 11:34 minute voyage into the depth of organically sounding spheres, shines through its consciousness of combing transcendental soundscapes with nature and therefore perfectly fits the label's musical philosophy. After an almost three minute build-up of diverse spherical elements 'Forever Gone' then introduces the congas, which in combination with the aforementioned spherical soundscapes form the body of the track. But just as you expect to be carried to the end of the track 'Forever Gone' closes in for the final chapter as the bass line sets in.

Cornucopia's EP 'Forever Gone' will be released on July 27th, 2018 on microCastle.

The 47th release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Rick Pier O'Neil back to the label for a brand new single. In addition to appearances on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and John OO Fleming's JOOF Recordings, the French artist has also found a comfortable home on Clubsonica, where he has released two singles and a remix since making his label debut in February of 2017. Now with the 2018 summer season in full swing the RPO Records boss returns with his most anticipated single to date, alongside remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente & DaBeat, Yuriy From Russia and Luciano Scheffer.

In a career that spans over two decades, Rick Pier O'Neil has crafted many memorable tracks. His latest entitled ‘They Got Away' is perhaps one of the most sought after however. Best known for his tougher, peak time productions, the French artist has stepped outside the box with a deep creation that sits in a unique sonic space. On a bed of sultry beats comes immaculately crafted percussion, gaseous atmospheres and trails of astral effects. As the first act evolves its intoxicating vibe becomes irresistible, eventually leading to a stripped down centrepiece. With emotion at a premium it's meditative pulse rises, free flowing with wispy cinematics and before a tepid rush transfers energy into a purring finale.

The first interpretation of ‘They Got Away' is provided by Kamilo Sanclemente & DaBeat. The Colombian duo have been sometime studio partners having worked on projects for FSOV UV, Spring Tube and Stellar Fountain. Now coming together for their first joint production on Clubsonica the duo takes ‘They Got Away' into funky, progressive minded territory. The main atmospheric motifs translate well over a heavier yet incredibly groovy low end, before distinctive tones ignite the energetic core. Coming to fruition during the main break, the cascading theme flows through timely modulation, peaking elegantly as the pulsating groove drops for a magic moment.

The second interpretation of ‘They Got Away' is provided by Yuriy From Russia who is making his label debut. The Russian artist is widely regarded for his prolific prowess and remains one of the more versatile producers in the underground. You never know quite what to expect from Yuriy as he seems equally adept at producing deep, dubby grooves as he is at lush progressive house. For his ‘They Got Away' interpretation he opts for the latter and with excellent results. A warm, driving groove sets the track in motion as an array of charming melodies fades into the mix. As the track builds, airy textures paint a scenic soundscape, before timely chord changes add just the right emotive touch. Swirling sonics then lead the track into the breakdown as the atmosphere grows to serene levels, perfectly setting up a blissful finale. 

The release concludes with Luciano Scheffer also making his label debut. Hailing from Ribeirao Pires, the Brazilian artist has been a long time favourite of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. His stunning creations have etched out a meticulous discography, highlighted by releases on Just Movement and PHW Elements. Now making his much anticipated Clubsonica debut, Luciano delivers an inspired interpretation of 'They Got Away'. Deep, hypnotic and fluid, the Brazilian artist builds a free flowing framework filled with gorgeous sonic artefacts and smooth rhythmic qualities. While wonderfully spaced out and undeniably scenic, the main break transfers energy and rhythm with a silky resonance as the beats drop for an emotive finale. A stunning remix from Luciano which rounds out a hugely successful return to Clubsonica for Rick Pier O'Neil.
