Cyberpunk Radio Replacement

As winter gloom transforms into spring light, a welcome seasonal shift signals new growth; "Spring Particles 2017" provides a septet of tracks from across the globe.

Opening proceedings, Greek artist, Christopher FaFa, brings his distinctive sound to the fore. His remix of Sebastian Busto's "Making Life", for Particles, signified an impressive debut as "Walk in the Clouds" now provides a deep groove and seismic bass line that warms the lower frequency range. Evolving elegantly, a haunting lead line makes its presence felt before joined by shimmering arpeggio that locks itself to the percussive backdrop. Oleg Szyszkin, under his E.F.G. moniker, has trodden a successful path between the "two worlds" of "deep basslines and techno blips". A half century of production credits for Electronic Tree and a pair of tracks for Particles is now extended by a third, in "Syuyshe", that is full of throbbing bass line menace, accompanied by delicate percussive cadence and reverb-coated vocal cuts. The resultant work is a tech house gem that is set to coarse through dance floors the world over.

Russian producer, Anton Vishniakov, is next to contribute via his Rise and Fall pseudonym. Supported by Max Graham and Hernan Cattaneo, "The Vision" EP for Particles was marked by remixes from LoQuai and Inkfish as another new track in "Outlook", takes centre stage. A driving, pulsating affair, a running bassline is allied to dominant kick and offbeat hi-hats in the early stages before a delicious arpeggio emerges. A stripped back breakdown pauses for reflection as a third movement brings all elements together swimming across the stereo spectrum in dizzying glory. Alex and Andrew are next up, coming together once again, in their Lanvary guise. Regulars on Particles with a trio of original EPs, they made their debut on Proton Music in March 2017 with a reworking of Matter's "Seed". An alternative (One of Two Mix) is featured here, which is a subtle, deeper offering that accentuates deep bass joy and head-shaking groove. Intelligent use of Matter's original components adds dynamic flair, as an evolving textured work takes form over eight-minutes of skill and technique.

"Pioneer Middle East DJ of the Year 2013" winner, Subandrio, has seen his stock rise significantly over the past 18 months. An appearance on the "Fall Particles 2016" compilation saw a debut original work, followed now, by a second. Filled with chunky rhythms and dancefloor prowess, "NY State of Mind" is a strong track redolent in white noise effects and percussive incongruence. Driving relentlessly forwards through well-placed risers, the track is certain to be a sure-fire club hit. An artist of repute, supported by no lesser lights than Pete Tong and Joseph Capriati, WELLSINCE has made a name for himself on the likes of D-Formation's T U S H Music. Now debuting on Particles, "Fluttering Gleams" is a tech house gem that hypnotises through strong beat and low-slung rhythms. Full of dynamism, a loquacious vocal sits back in the mix as crystalline lead line sparkles into life in the breakdown, a sublime juxtaposition to the industrial strength rhythms either side. John Kearns is the final contributor through his Lateral Cut Groove moniker. A well-established artist with a host of production credits to his name, 2015's "Spring Tide" for Particles was a notable highlight. Now returning, "The State of Things" is a strong driving work that pulsates dramatically with side-chain presence. Building effortlessly and full of hypnotic dance floor flair, a textured pad in the breakdown is a wonderful evocative addition to proceedings before the rhythms once again take their dominant place.

Seven new tracks from the industry's finest talents sees growth aplenty in "Spring Particles 2017".

Russian sensation Fon.Leman is one of the most sought after talents in progressive house & trance, thanks to his distinctively elegant and smooth club-oriented sound. With dynamics in his grooves that are hardly rivaled, Fon.Leman's latest tracks are regularly supported by the industry elite. We're thrilled to present his brand new three-track EP. 

Kicking off the release, "Nurburgring" is a veritable progressive house anthem, as exhilarating and hypnotic as the German motorway, from which the track derives its name. An adrenalin-fueled bassline unites with various "mechanical" elements, reminiscent of a race day pit stop. The euphoric synths in the track reinforce the peak-hour soundscape.

The subsequent cut, "Cross Roads", was a standout track in last month's "Silk Royal Showcase 05" compilation. We're excited to present a full, DJ-friendly version via this EP. A suspenseful intro, featuring a rapturous chord sequence and vocal theme, transitions into a momentous groove at the track's quarter turn. All of Fon.Leman's talents are on display: a dynamic and thunderous rhythm is matched by a euphoric instrumental and vocal theme.

Finally, "You Can't Hide", which was originally previewed in our "Arrival 02: Destination Indonesia" compilation, is now also available in full, unmixed form. A lush chord progression is soon met by an infectious vocal motif. An unforgettable guitar riff and lead synth theme highlight this euphonious tune.

This is a song that I originally composed for the movie John Wick. The original version of this song was only about 1 minute long as I only wrote it to be the length of the scene that i wrote it for in the movie. After the soundtrack came out I received a great deal of requests from people asking me to do an extended version of this song so here it is! I finally got around to making some time to knock out this extended version of the song and i'm offering it as a free download as a thank you to all of the fans that have supported my music and the film!

Julian Rodriguez - Ulinpit Disconnection (Nicolas Rada Remix)

A young producer with both the talents and character to succeed in a demanding and cutthroat industry, Pedro Caldeira has provided a real statement of musical intent with his Pete K production soubriquet and now his "Inner Circle 2" EP for Proton Music.

From the Lisbon capital on the mouth of the River Tagus, the Portuguese producer has continually pushed his own musical boundaries to create an evolving sound that showcases genuine passion and craft. Inspired by celebrated names including, Pryda and Olander, Caldeira has been able to hit upon a formula that crosses genre boundaries with ease, opening his sound up to a diverse listener base that grows with each passing release.

A rapidly expanding portfolio, primarily within the broad church that is progressive house, has thus seen the Pete K name allied to a raft of impressive imprints, not least Intricate Records where a clutch of production credits have provided a strong platform for tracks such as "Beyond" and "Nightshift". Furthermore, November 2016's "Azimuth/Nebula" EP for industry giant, Zerothree, has cemented a growing reputation with work of genuine quality. It is thus no surprise that the Pete K sound has been regularly supported by the DJ glitterati of Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold and Jaytech.

Running the monthly "Inner Circles" show on Proton Radio has provided a refreshing medium to stage Peter K's own production credentials along with the music that stimulates him. With a mission statement that includes "no labels, no colours and no boundaries", "emotive and timeless music" are in plentiful supply. It is therefore little surprise that when Pete K came to Proton Music with his strong and vibrant, "Inner Circle" EP in June 2016, the twin-track offering provided an assured and impressive debut for the label, going on to receive remixes from GMJ and Matter and legendary Greek producer, Dousk, at the end of the year.

As 2017 now fully opens its doors, Proton Music is delighted to announce the return of Pete K and his painstakingly constructed, "Inner Circle 2" EP with its underpinnings in Greek mythology. Opening track, "Andromeda", is redolent in the technique and unique sound that has established Caldeira as an artist of real force. Driving beat and percussive hi-hat urgency provides a strong backdrop for trademark emotive melodies to shimmer across the sonic spectrum, resonating in cascading, tear drop delays, as a spine-tingling bass line progression supplies dance floor dynamism. Building effortlessly with side-chained pads and flowing lead line, the third movement sees the track reach a rousing crescendo in striking fashion.

Partner track, "Perseu" is replete with references to the Greek hero as shuffling hi-hat rhythms are paired with reverb-drenched woodblock percussion. A subtle and cavernous grooved bass line makes its presence felt as sumptuous pads provide texture and depth; melodic lines shimmer and meander across the upper frequencies. As hypnotic as Medusa's eyes, rhythmic and bass prowess captures listener attention with a body-shaking, dance floor groove that resembles Cid Inc. while filtered arpeggios and gated synth lines bring additional interest. The result is a sultry, brooding track that bristles with electricity.

Expanding his "Inner Circle", Pete K has delighted once again with music that is no longer the industry's best-kept secret.

Lets great straight to the music without further adieu. 'The title track 'Pure' is a melodic and hypnotic masterpiece, with its subtleties creating a sophisticated warm workout to slay a dance floor. Part of the October 2016 "Micromegas" EP, the ‘double-headed' Lanvary ‘dragon' took "Moby Dick" on a sonic adventure across undulating progressive house waves. Now Yin : Yang revisits Lanvary's striking track with two new remixes from Israel and Greece.

Founder of the iconic Bloque Festival, that saw artists including Stas Drive, Amber Long and Tash, grace the 2016 line-up in Kavala, Jorgio Kioris is a man of many talents. A Greek DJ and producer, renowned across his homeland and far beyond its borders, Kioris' production work has been an inspiration to many. A regular on the likes of Superordinate Music, Balkan Connection and Mirabilis Records, his 2015 "Exist" EP for the Cid Inc-owned Replug, was a notable highlight, as was his "Cross the Line" EP with Albanian artist Da Luka in March 2017. 

Debuting on Yang, the Jorgio Kioris Remix provides a foundation of strong kick, ticking percussive hi-hat rhythm and locked bass groove. Building effortlessly over its seven-and-a-half-minute journey, a rippling suite of melodies cascade across the mid and upper frequencies, redolent in delay and reverb. Intelligently making use of Lanvary's original components, melodic themes inherent in "Moby Dick" are sympathetically transposed into Kioris' new interpretation in combination with his additional production material, to create a work of skill, intrigue and passion.
