You're too unconscious to hear me... brilliant.

"Moon Girl" is a compilation of songs I have written to tell a story about the last year of my life. I recorded every song inside my bedroom closet, and used very little editing on the guitar and vocals. Every song on the album has a special meaning to me, and I hope that each listener enjoys finding meaning for themselves. Thanks to all of my friends and family for listening to me perform at open mic nights, and giving their thoughts on my music. Special thanks to William for helping me with the recording process, and finalizing the songs for the album.

In his largest work to date, Schmidt draws from his own experiences with depression, exploring the struggle between two opposing forces: light and darkness, or good and evil.  Powerful melodies, idiomatic use of instruments, and adept orchestration merge, yielding potent emotional moments over the course of the piece.
