I make wonky beats with ambient backdrops. I like to sample classical piano and occasionally play my guitar. 

I come from Hobart, Tasmania, currently residing in Melbourne, Victoria.

Abakus is an electronica act, started in 2004 with his inaugural album "That Much Closer to the Sun. He has since released the albums "We Share the Same Dreams", "Prisms", "Silent Geometry", and the most recent "Departure".

The music of Summerleas is a pure and honest reflection of the places and relationships that have brought him thus far. His distinct voice weaves lyrics in and around syncopated rhythms from country and folk to rock and blues to create his unique sound.

The son of a dancer and a photographer, he was born in Sydney and grew up in Tasmania. It wasn't until the later stage that his life started to gravitate towards music and he began to acquire instruments and equipment. The death of his Mother before his 21st birthday saw him turn his focus to song writing to help deal with his grief and express his feelings.

In 2006, pursuing his interests lead him back to his place of birth, Sydney to study his art and continue to develop as a musician and progress his song writing. It was a series of events that included living and working in Melbourne and Canada that triggered a prolific writing period.

Returning home to Tasmania in 2009 with a wealth of material and experience he collaborated with a long term friend and formed rock duo, 'The Convicts.' The band played shows through out Tasmania during 2010, it was at this time when Summerleas was invited to participate in the first ever Australian University music degree for singer/songwriters. He is now fine tuning his craft and will use this space to document his progress and performances.

DJ Spinfx is a respected O.G. in the bass music scene, known for his signature sound of blending hardcore breakbeats and dubbed-out jungle basslines. With over 25 years of experience, he's established himself as a key player in seminal breakbeat, jungle, and drum & bass nights in Sydney, Hobart, and Melbourne.

He's the proud owner of Counterweight Vinyl, Melbourne's premier destination for bass music and vinyl enthusiasts. He currently runs "Vinyls," a monthly Saturday night for hardcore and jungle ravers at Revolver, as well as "Counterculture," a street party that journeys from dub to jungle via roots, dancehall, and bass music at Counterweight.

Spinfx has been a regular fixture at The Late Show Revolver since 2005, where he brings the energy of early raves and blends it with modern bass music classics and turntablism.
