Hailing from Waterford, Ireland, Forge Hounds is a new and exciting hard rock project that draws on influences from the likes of ZZ Top, Bad Company, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Hanoi Rocks to deliver a BIG sound driven by lean and mean guitar riffs, compelling dual vocals and a pumping rhythm section.

Ian Kennard is a vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, originally from North Devon but now living in the Welsh valleys. He has been in various bands and has experience of a wide variety of performing arts but is now focused on making acoustic music and letting the songwriting and performance shine through. His style can encompass any number of different influences combined into a sound that is rootsy and soulful.

I've been making music since high-school, when I sat in my basement with my first guitar, the "new" U2 album, Rattle and Hum, and it's chord book and taught myself how to play.  I played in various bands until around 2010 and have been a worship leader in church for over 2 decades.  I now enjoy the creative process of writing and recording music in my secret lair in the basement and sharing it for the few of you that give it a listen!

Matthew Shaker is an Actor (AEA),  Singer/Songwriter and Composer. He is at home on stage in a play or musical- as well as behind it. His credits are numerous and diverse with lead roles
in shows such as, "Kiss Me Kate", "Singing In The Rain", "Wait Until Dark", "Hello Dolly", "Hair",
"Into The Woods" and "I Love You, You're Perfect-Now Change", to name a few.

Matthew won the 2015 Desert Theater League  Award for Best Actor -Comedy (Professional), for his role as Felix Unger in Neil Simon's 'The Odd Couple' (presented at the Indio Performing Arts Center, November, 2014). He has also been nominated and received 'DTL Best Actor Awards' for his performances in 'Proof'  and 'The Cocktail Hour'. He has been Musical Director and arranged and recorded soundtracks for  dozens of shows as well.

Matthew has spent decades as a Piano Bar Performer in cities such as Palm Springs ,  Los Angeles and New York. Currently, he can be seen at the piano Saturday and Sunday mornings at Idyllwild's popular  'Mile High Café'.
He has performed on cruise ships in big production shows produced by Emmy award winner, Anita Mann.
He released his original album, 'Dance Romance!', winning a finalist prize in the Jazz division of the John Lennon Songwriting Competition for his ballad, 'Next Time'. He continues to garner awards in top songwriting contests, including two Finalist awards in the 2021 UK Songwriting Competition.

Matthew has composed music for television, films and commercials and lives in Prescott Valley, Arizona. He is currently writing (book, music and lyrics) an historical based 
Broadway bound musical, "EGYPTOMANIA!"
