A demo of my latest orchestral piece I have been working on throughout the past months, premiered 3 days ago.

This piece concerns harmony, chords and note choices. Initial material made out of an emerging melody transforms, dissipates, and emerges again in different contexts.

I have been developing my own system of making chords that extends known tools from spectral music. Each part of the piece works in a slightly different way.

The piece (apart from one little spot) uses no microtones at all.

My album SUMMEN was released via SN Variations in February 2025. Music for string quartet (Ensemble Resonanz !) and improvised drum set (Max himself). A very personal piece, based on a fragment of a childhood composition by Max. Summen was originally commissioned by Beethovenfest Bonn. Accompanied by second piece Schwarm based on the image and function of swarms.

Sound Art piece for Studio Akustische Kunst of WDR, editor: Klaus Schöning, first broadcast: 18th November 2000. Awarded the Prix Ars Acustica 2000. 
This is a shorter Mix of the original composition. 
"dripping introduces the listener to imaginary rooms, whose physical structures are made tangible by the composition of droplets generating sound. The droplets can be thought of as being the echoes of a location system, which gives the listener access to a whole microcosm of almost unperceivable sounds from the perspective of an insect. The initially irregular dripping sounds describe a path through a "virtual" soundscape of various different material consistencies. They then begin adopting rhythmic patterns that create a hypnotic atmosphere as a result of their combined repetition and nuanced fluctuation."
