Este año Cosmovision Records tuvo muchos lanzamientos que se atrevieron a explorar en territorios más experimentales con  ¨Metamine¨, ¨Botanique¨ y ¨La Levantine¨, como también otros que se adentraron en una reflexión más introspectiva y mística como ¨Detrás de lo Invisible¨ y ¨Los 4 Elementos¨, esto sumado al compilado ¨Cantos a la Madre¨ que dedicado a las energías femeninas y la tradición lírica, puso la nota de Folktrónica y de humanidad acústica que dió un equilibrio a un año que por lo general cargó mucho a lo netamente electrónico dentro de la escena.

En esta sesión presentaremos un viaje ecléctico por todos estos lanzamientos sin orden en particular pero donde todos estarán presentes en sus diversas formas, desde lo más místico, pasando por lo más downtempo, bailable e incluso lo oscuro, hasta nuevamente lo más introspectivo que nos permite llegar a la luz. The sound of desert blues has been a major influence on my musical taste since I first came into contact with it in my early teenage years. The expression of the culture of the traditionally nomadic people of the Sahara region is a beautiful blend of many different styles that speak to my soul. 

In this ecstatic desert dance mix, I've compiled some of the original gems and many great edits from some of my favorite producers. The second anniversary of the FB group "Sharing the Vibe" is a perfect opportunity to share these amazing grooves with a fine heart community who appreciate these treasures as much as I do. Intention of the Love Diary is to create intuitive musical Journeys with Releases from specific Record-Labels that inspire me to reflect their Diversity as well as their Signature in Sound...and while the Track-Selection is a spontaneous process with the aim of offering a "Label-Taste" it really is all about flowing with the Music and the present Moment.

The Inspiration for this Project originates in a Synchronicity of Happenings:
First I had the Idea to present Music-Labels that influence(d) my musical Journey on the weekly Radio Shows that I do with my dear Friend Christian aka MeToBe (@chrisseger) as Echoes from Venus (@echoesfromvenus) on Universal Sounds Radio, an independent alternative online Radio with Focus on Spirituality and Holistic Living.

In the same Time I joined "Ting", an independent, self-regulating Project that makes "Basic Income" a real Thing (more Infos about Ting you ca find here: www.ting.community) and that was co-created by another dear Friend of mine...

And than it struck me like Lightening:
While I give Income into the Ting Community I can give a creative Output for the global Music Familia and link the two together! And that is how this Series finally was born with a deep Purpose that fills me with Joy & Gratitude which I hope to be able to share with you here. ॐ

It turned out, it was difficult/impossible to find short Ecstatic Dance journey online. This is a mix of many of my favorite Afro Downtempo tracks, including several of my unreleased edits as well as some classics that I have been playing over the last 2-3 years. 

African music holds a special place in my heart. Whether it be Morocco, Mali, Angola, something inside be resonates with the frequency of rhythms and melodies, and most of all the voices. Without the need to understand what is being said I feel the spirit of so many of these artists in me. 

This mix is a journey through the deserts, jungles, and villages of Africa, featuring remixes and edits of many amazing classic artists such as, Rokia Traoré, Oumou Sangaré, Ali Farka Touré, Fatoumata Diawara, Sonah Jobartah and more. 

Most of popular music in North & South America as well as Europe can have its roots traced back to Africa. The vibrant and diverse cultures of mama Africa have spread around the world influencing cultures in many ways.

Born and raised in Chile, ¨El Extravagante¨ is Felipe Nadeau’s project that was born after he emigrated to Canada, where the nostalgia for his land and ancestral culture took him to explore folklore, psychedelic and dance rhythms from South America and the world.

Today, living in Montréal, El Extravagante is producing music, DJing and is one of the main names of Cosmovision Records, which goal is to share electronic music with a folklore root in Canada and the world. 
This session is a mixture of sounds from South America, India and more, from an electronic/downtempo perspective, a session to relax, get some groovy good vibes and enjoy.

El Extravagante Live Act for Baikal Nomads

@ElExtravagante is a nomad from Chile, the last country to the South of planet Earth actually based in Montréal/Canada, ¨the other side of the world¨. His music is a mix of tropical grooves and electronic folklore with sometimes a spicy touch of Psychedelia. 

Due the lack of opportunities as a South American immigrant with an electronic music project  outside the norm of the Canadian scene, mostly into House/Techno, he decided to create an alternative and with @Don-Mescal (another immigrant, from France) in 2018 they created @CosmovisionRecords & Collective, opening a whole new platform that gave visibility and a voice to many local and international artists, from Montréal to the world.


In this Live Act you can enjoy many of ¨El Extravagante¨ original songs plus a few remixes and one or two unreleased tracks as well, going between electronic folklore/cumbia and downtempo, done with Ableton, a few synths and acoustic instruments recorded live, enjoy!

¨El Extravagante¨ is a synthesizer lover / cumbia-magician, bohemian street-poet/DJ. An immigrant from South America based in France, at the ¨other side of the world¨. Most importantly, he’s a folkltronica & electropical rhythms diplomat in Europe, making electronic music with a tropical edge 🌴😎✌

Apart from being an artist, Felipe Nadeau, the man behind the character is a culture and arts manager co-directing the beautiful project known as @CosmovisionRecords, spreading love for the new forms of folklore and electronic music from LatinAmerica and all the world. A record label not for the few, but for the many =)

El Extravagante es un personaje único de esos que se encuentran en las calles de Latinoamérica. Tecno-Poeta aventurero, neo-chamán del sintetizador y la zampoña, diplomático de los ritmos globales hoy basado en Francia. Viviendo ¨al otro lado del mundo¨, ha sido proclamado ¨misionero de los ritmos de las Américas¨, inspirado por las fusiones musicales a descubrir en Europa.

Actualmente sigue lanzando música y es co-fundador/director de @CosmovisionRecords , impulsando la difusión de ritmos tradicionales y electrónicos de Latinoamérica y el mundo desde Montréal/Canadá, en un proyecto que abre sus puertas a muchos artistas locales y del mundo entero.
