The Innocence of Dying (Endless Repeats)

Just a small idea I am playing with. I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to comment as all feedback is greatly appreciated and may help shape how I develop this track.

This song began with Didier coming up with it on his acoustic guitar. However, when he first sent it to Josh, he had played electric guitar, bass, keys, and drums on it, because he is a very talented multi-intrumentalist. This song passes the stool test, though, which is the question of whether it sounds good with someone just sitting on a stool with a guitar, playing and singing it. So, when we asked him to give us a version that we could add to, it was already a great song that he sent us with just him singing over his acoustic guitar. 

  Tez was the first one up on this one, adding the fiery fills throughout, as well as the co-solo at the end. Ken entered the fray next, adding his rock solid, dynamic drums. Once the drums were down giving him something to play against, Josh added his fretless bass to the song. Being very excited about this one, he also added piano, organ, and eventually the lead guitar solo at the end. He also went in and added all the vocal harmonies throughout. Stephen then brought up the rear with some really cool textural guitar throughout. 

  Once we had it in the bag, we asked Tez to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his usual expert fashion. 

  This is our first song with Didier, but we hope it's just the beginning of his new inclusion into the Eclectic Collective family. He has a lot of great music on his page, which is worth checking out, too. We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

The Noise Rises Up - Eclectic Collective w/ Didier Burli

The idea for this song came to me randomly while driving down some backroad a few years back, and I recorded the initial idea spur of the moment. For whatever reason, the rather morbid theme came out in the process and I just went with it. Nat is a daring soul and surprisingly encouraged that we record it and with her considerable help we fashioned this recording. Notable is that Nat has taken on the ability to add some beautiful pedal steel guitar throughout the song using her well established keyboard skills and this first run at it was very satisfying. A Coffin To Live In

       This song I wrote back in 2011 and I wanted a swampy, funky, sexy, soulful, sound to it, just a slow mellow vibe to groove to in a slow dance or something. I was going for that Barry White or Marvin Gaye kind of vibe. I worked hard on the lyrics and tried to capture that first date/first dance kind of chemistry! A little spark in the dark, if you will! Charlie did a great job singing it. I had done a video for it early on but it just wasn't very well done so I remixed the song and produced a new video for it about a weeks ago. I think it sounds and looks way better now. Let me know what you think? Watch the video for a little extra excitation!😂

This song is intended for adults to enjoy, no silly love song here!😂 I was trying to write a "Strangers In The Night" type of song with a funky beat. Nothing personal and no back story for this one, just some Funky Fun for all the Dirty Dancers out there!😂 Remember you can't spell Funky without a little Fun!
