now that wasnt hard to find was it (is that drone just the resonance from the bass notes - sort of provides a backing to the whole piece - beautiful) ... hard to say wich i prefer now i have listened to both ... its a close one

It's my first and hopefully not last collaboration with the wonderful Dirk Maassen. 
I was very pleased when Dirk asked me to record a guitar part to his piece Déjà vu.
I recorded 2 versions, an improvised version and a more composed version. I decided to post my improvised version. It simply has more charisma and contrast to the piano.

An improvisation that just developed using a rather lovely guitar, and a wonderful alt tuning (DADGAD) that is just perfect for Mr Lowden's fine instruments. 

A couple of glitches got into the play, but it was an enjoyable process creating this contemporary guitar improv - has a pretty springtime lilt and I hope it makes you smile.  =)
