Rui Da Silva is an electronic music producer. He runs Kismet Records, his own, successful, independent music label. He DJs all over the world.

Rui has been involved in music since he was a kid and in the music business since he set up the Kaos Records label in Portugal in the early 90s with the label he kick started the dance scene in Portugal 

in 1993 Rui creates the legendary Underground Sound of Lisbon the most influential electronic dance band out of Portugal till this day. The Seminal "So get Up" originally released under his label Kaos Records went on to be licensed to Tribal Records in the US, the international release of So Get Up came packaged with mixes from Junior Vasquez and Danny Tenaglia. this record became a classic in the Sound Factory in New York with Junior playing it constantly every saturday. 

In 1999 he moved away from his label Kaos Records and relocated to London in a search for new challenges. He set up Kismet Records and started recording under his own name.

In 2001 his music leapt from club to radio when his song Touch Me became an international number one single. 

Today he continues to produce club tracks and experimental electronic music always, as he puts it, “trying to change the sound and evolve as staying still gets me bored”. 

Kismet is still going strong in the digital age with a mission to “help new upcoming talent to break into the electronic music scene”. 

Rui’s formative years, growing up in Portugal, were spent listening to music and one-deck DJing at parties. Early influences included Tones On Tail, Talking Heads, Kraftwerk and Brian Eno. “But when I was 16 or 17 I realised that DJing wasn’t fulfilling as i was basically playing other peoples music!” 

After that he started playing bass in a band. “That was frustrating as I was the only one into turning up for the rehearsals.” 

Then, the revelatory experience, he started listening to early house from the US and the UK. “I decided to sell the bass and amp and buy a Roland 909 (drum machine) and start creating music. I liked the way it was all about the music and nothing about image.” 

From there it was only a small step to becoming a producer, party animal, and label boss. 

And the future? More production of course. “If I don’t do music I feel agitated.” And more new ideas.
“Trying to learn a little bit more. Making music is like cooking, you must plan it, and you need to source the right ingredients. But if you cook all the time you can start experimenting. The best part of the creative process comes from mistakes but to make a track you must also be organised, it’s the pull between these two poles that makes a great song.” And plenty of quality releases on Kismet. “After so many years in the business I’m in a position to help people and develop new talent.” 

Rui Da Silva, at once professor and student, mentor and pupil, learning, evolving,  drawing on his experience while surfing the edge of new sounds.

As per our collective minds; music is a universal language which is spoken and written around the globe. With his backpack loaded with records and his mind full of ideas, Tagträumer² has been exploring foreign countries and undiscovered sounds. Eight years have passed on his seemingly endless journey. Through different people, extraordinary situations, adventurous experiences and unknown vibes an elixir of magic is created. It is the engine and the resource that drives his artistic inspirations.

Tagträumer²’s musical path has led him to over a dozen countries, including those which no longer are counted as electronic driven societies. Most notably are his events in countries such as China, South Korea, Belarus, Turkey, Ukraine and Serbia which have enriched Tagträumer²’s experiences and are reflected in his tracks and DJ sets. His work tells us stories about forward moments during the cold nights at the Great Wall of China, and about weightless festivals on Crimea in the middle of sparkling Salt Lakes, and of the parties surrounded by the never ending neon light in Korean bars.

Back home in Berlin, Tagträumer² processes his gathered impressions in his productions which are released on several different labels. But of course, his productions are also released on his own vinyl and digital record label "BlackFoxMusic" (blackfoxmusic.com) that Robert launched in 2007. The label management’s activities also expanded onto Schallbox Rec. and Neopren.
In addition, the Berlin artist focuses his creative output as a DJ, for which he exclusively uses Vinyl. Regardless of how heavy his backpack may be on his future journey to Belgium, Kamchatka, or elsewhere, as long as there will be some turn tables in place, any booking requests are welcome.

Luis Ferro, started djing in 1999. He was a regular presence in various events and parties from north to south of Portugal ever since. His expertise in the control of the decks and his good mood House with a strong groove, energy and electrical rhythms allowed him to play in major clubs and events and to share the cabin with professionals like John Creamer, Carlos Fauvrelle, Miss Sheila, Jiggy, The Fox, Mario Roque, Steve Parker, Babalu, Oskar Dj, Hugo Rizzo, Lady M, Pedro Carrilho and many more.
In 2005 Luis Ferro also started to produce, releasing regularly on labels all over the world, for example, Adjust Recordings (UK), Land of Voodoo Recordings (USA), Kaos Records (PT), among others.
His productions are a regular on tops and charts of djs all over the world and have the support of names such as Roger Sanchez, Kobbe, Flash Brothers, Chus, D-Unity, DJ Vibe, Carlos Manaca, Stephan Grondin, Midnight Society, Pete Tha Zouk, Red & Blue, The Fox, among many others.

Toys For Boys Records is a leading and respected underground music label, with a strong presence in the European house and techno scenes.
Founded in 2004 by Marcus Vector and Sierra_Sam, the Brussels/Berlin based imprint has been gathering artists such as Quenum, Sarah Goldfarb, Mark Broom, Tom Dazing, or Grinser with remix collaborations from the likes of Paul Ritch, Tim Xavier or Dan Curtin.
Toys for Boys’ name is in itself a kind of a private joke, meaning "boys are geeks and like to play with electronic toys to make music"...Its musical inclinations are open to a variety of techno sounds scattered with electronica and house influences. With a dancefloor orientation on each release the label's guiding principle is that "there is a space for creativity in between the 4x4 beat”…
