Last night, round midnight, just before I switched off my studio to go to bed, I recorded this piano improvisation. It's something I haven't done for a long, long time.

I had no idea that while I was channelling this piece - thousands of miles away, in Paris, the most unspeakable violences were being perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.

I'd like to dedicate this to the beautiful people of Paris, whose lives have been shattered.

Let music heal.
