The sound design, reminiscent of 70's rock, catches my attention and makes me pause. I was listening to music enthusiastically, trying to get a glimpse into the adult world. Your songs are wonderful. You incorporate synthesizers, which were unheard of at the time, with a delicate touch. It's wonderfully nostalgic and amazing.

I threw a box of primary school instruments at The Waterboys' This is the Sea!
This is one of my favourite songfs in the world- it's been with me since teenage years. There's no point trying to get the epic majesty of the original so did something different with it- a little bit funky with a touch of early Floyd psych perhaps.

The second track I have done with The Gatsbys and it’s always a pleasure to be asked to collaborate.
Dirk sent me the instrumental and like before I was blown away by his guitar work & melody.
I contributed the lyrics and vocal melodies to this.
It was an honour that he used Nothing left to defend on his latest album Cancel the winter.
So to be asked again was always going to be a yes. 
The  Gatsbys always create that live indie band sound on final recordings  especially with Bens percussion work. 
I hope you enjoy the track as I enjoyed singing on it.

A bit of history: 
Goff Johnson get in touch with me. The guy is keen to collaborate with other artists. He would like to polish the musicianship and the production of some of his songs a little more because his is award that his tracks can be improved with better musicians and especially with strong vocals. I am there!! I want to take up the challenge, I want to be attentive to his wishes, I want to be of good advice.  

Here’s the result: 
We have collaborated and reworked together the song “Seems Like It” initially posted on his Soundcloud page in February 2024. We brought two other musicians on board for the adventure. The result please us a lot. Exciting adventure.  
I wish you a lot of pleasure by listening to the song.

Ive never attempted singing a Rock song, and I was very trepedatious hearing Billy sing the original Concept with his astounding voice.. so saying I felt intimidated was an understatement! but he convinced me to give it a go, and I found the lyrics so immersive, it certainly helped me find that bittersweet place I was meant to find. The instrumental track was played by Bruno De Amaral, who did an exquisite job!! That ending is owed to you!   We hope you enjoy this song..
