A live recording of Terry Callier at the Jazz Cafe, Camden, London, from the year 2000 that captures some of the spirit of Terry's incredible live performance.

This is the first of two live albums that Terry has recorded for Mr Bongo. The second, entitled Welcome Home was released in March 2008 and features different tracks.

Please note that the LP and CD versions have different track lists due to the length of the recording/physcial media.

Hidden Conversations is the follow up to Terry’s Lookin’ Out album. Following Terry’s performance at the 2008 Meltdown Festival (curated by Massive Attack), he once again teamed up with the legendary British trio for this album.

On Hidden Conversations Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja co-wrote Wings and John Lee Hooker and exclusively wrote Live With Me. The combination of Massive Attack’s haunting production and Terry’s beautiful, emotive vocals is quite simply, stunning.

All the other songs on Hidden Conversations were exclusively written by Terry himself with a new electronic edge that complements Terry’s style perfectly and offers a new direction that will appeal to fans both old and new. Hidden Conversations is as innovative and compelling as ever.

This is an "unearthed" recording from 2004, featuring brand new vocals, drums and bass. Another one that used to be part of my old set list back when I gigged as part of the honeycomb filled CrunchAlias. The original tracks are preserved, featuring my dear old friend Samuel Morgan on acoustic guitar. It feels great to go back and finally complete these songs. I am very pleased to announce that it is now on my new album "The Way is Golden". Go check it out on Bandcamp (preferably), or Shpotify and Flapple Music. Whichever suits your pants!

The core idea for this piece came from one of my piano improvisation sessions, recorded during my stay in Canada on 18/02/2012. A short clip of the original performance was adapted for this mix from 3:18 onwards.
