Hi...I'm Max, I like music, I like to write music inspired by minimalist themes, chamber music, soundtracks and piano works. My project is to write short, simple and essential works that can arouse emotions. Music is a passion, so I don't have much time to dedicate to it. Note: In light of the recent AI breakthroughs, we feel it's important to clarify that we've been working with voice modulation since the mid-1990s – originally inspired by David Bowie's album Outside. Our approach predates AI-driven tools and is rooted in treating the voice as an instrument, shaped and sculpted through earlier technologies.

We fully understand that questioning authenticity may not be the intention – but it's worth remembering that all electronic music is, by nature, mediated and transformed. Even Nietzsche pointed out how modern tools shape us: inserting paper into a typewriter already creates a distance that handwriting does not. Perhaps birdsong is the only truly authentic sound. 🐦

Writes original song lyrics and takes custom lyric requests under the artist name La Wi. This platform is also home to the creative collaborations of the Psychonaut Collective (Meo and The Psychonauts). Thank you for your support and appreciation.

Melodic, Ambient, Soundtrack, New Age maybe. Overall, my sounds are mixing all of my influences and references to create my own way in this vast ocean of melodies.

 Was silent for some years now : felt sadly uninspired but once you fight your own pressure and demons in your head ; you just know you are sometime your rudest judge.

I set the words to chords on piano. Kind of singing along. I recorded the Casio electric piano, then my sawed-body Austin bass guitar, both plugged in directly. Bass played with a pick. (a square corner of my old driver's license)

The organ pretty much follows the piano chords. Two different organ sounds were used for each song on The Black Cat Record. The same Casio.

Vocals. I recorded one, then muted it and recorded another. So that the second vocal wouldn't be an imitation. One vocal is only on the left, and the other is only on the right. 

I recorded electric guitar plugged into a Blackstar amp, direct-in. Same pick used. I had a Lyon Disturbed signature guitar with a kill switch for The Black Cat Record, and a Squire with a whammy bar for Hex. Rhythm guitar was usually done twice, and only on the left or right, like the vocals. I like to think the left headphone is a slightly different album than the right.  Microphone used: Shure SM57.
