Confined Space stems from the idea of repurposing audio material from YouTube, in an artistic process that values quantity over quality. Random videos are selected using different key words and their audio is chopped and compressed into the DAW to be used as compositional elements. Often scrolling down to get the uploads with the least views, this process is both a reflection on the enormous quantity of material that can be found online and an invitation to use and repurpose digital content in new artistic ways. What is inside the database is not important, its size already makes for an infinite output of ideas.

Luca Favaro is an Italian musician and composer. Starting as a classical percussionist, he approaches electronic music composition finding his roots in sound design, club music and field recording. With the moniker T.U. he has published with False Industries (Berlin), Hide Productions (Milan, Udine) and World Canvas (Helsinki) as well as scoring music for installations, theatre and ballet. He currently hosts Desktop Music, a monthly show on radio Raheem where he explores sound design and generative music through original compositions. With the dance-focused project Capiuz, Favaro investigates a more rhythmic approach to his compositions, exploring the more experimental and hypnotic sides of dance music. As a programmer, he has created various Max for Live devices published by Hide Productions in an ongoing series.

Cicada is a time manipulation effect that warps and smears audio in real time. The device is divided into two independent sections: SCRMBL creates a cloud like texture by running the incoming sound through a cascade of modulating delays, with the possibility of adding extra pitch shifted layers. WARP imitates the warp feature on Ableton’s clips, with a grain/speed control and the possibility of having it synced and retriggered according to live’s tempo.

OverMyBody, the Taiwan-Based avant-garde imprint curated by B E N N, celebrates its first anniversary with album compilation from closed friends and affiliates, half Taiwanese, half internationals. 'Koma vol.1' allows seven different producers to create different aspects drawing on definition of experimental drums that they're not typically known for.

The release features music from Rain Liou, Dave N.A., ZAGAM, Sandy's Trace, personalbrand, Alica and B E N N, the record running the gamut from psyched-out compositions to drum and dance materials, with deadly blows of percussion, stereo-imaging coexisting in a gorgeous realm of artistic aesthetics.

Dave N.A. is an Armenian music producer who was recently released on Club Chai , Kepasaparadoks and Medium Raw Records and he is running FNTSY record label, "Datedrumz" characterized his own realms by high resonating percussions and hypnotic rhythm.

Sandy's Trace channels the ghosts of early 2010's club melodies into a pummeling, propulsive beat. Distended textures swirl in and out over a pneumatic volley of percussion, threatening to fracture under pressure at any moment's notice."

ZAGAM is above all his sensory experience on production, "Landutopia " above the electronic post club, filled with dark, industrial scenes, as well as narrative music that he shapes. His universe is part of a utopia, similar to a dystopia. He traces any Chaotic event from the Black Death phenomenon with his crow mask, which adds a tragic and pandemic touch to the story of his muisc.

personalbrand is an experimental producer and DJ, currently in the UK after 3 years in Taiwan. His debut ep SHARED UNREALITIES was released on TAR earlier this year, with tracks played on NTS, Ma3azef, Rinse, and more.His track COMMUNITAS continues an exploration of reconstructing grime motifs into a hybrid club framework. A repeating alien-like chant calls out over jerky, jabbing kicks, as glitches from digital detritus buzz in the background.

Alica is a Noise artist based in Taiwan, trying to experiment her own sounds combine with dancehall scene on this very sepcial" Far Far".

B E N N is a producer /dj who recently released an album “Synesthesia” via kepasaparadoks, with a commitment to create percussion-heavy, hard drum tracks at a furious rate. "New Age Of Luxury" combines his hard drums signature along with personalbrand's hypnotic melodies.

"Starseed Child" is the second release from the Copenhagen-based duo J Sliwa consisting of artists lighyer and jjjacob. The EP is a new direction for the duo as it engages with a more dreamy and emotional expression of sound by means of including hyperpop melodies, reverbed autotune vocals and uncanny sound effects. This transformation in style was inspired by alien encounters, psychedelic journeys and the current situation we as humans stand in and before. The alienation and isolation brought on by the global pandemic inspired the duo to look inward and engage with their affective landscapes artistically, giving them hope and grounding in times of challenge and intense complexity.

This EP is the only release from the duo in the last two years since their debut EP on THRDEYEVSN "Eternal Now", described as a melancholic dream trance excursion into the ecstatic europop and gothic dance of the 00s. Their debut EP "Eternal Now" received attention from media platforms such as Resident Advisor and AQNB, which led to bookings by crews Sutra Club (Belgrade) and Soul Feeder (Milan). Apart from this, the duo has recently made contributions to compilations from labels Rhizome, kepasaparadoks and katharsis.

"Starseed Child" will be released on the 22nd of November through jjjacob's label katharsis, including an exquisite video for the track "Angels of Love" made by the talented Morph-affiliated CGI-duo Organs named they like you.

CupoCupo is a duo of musicians hailing from Bergamo, Italy, presenting their second work after the debut ‘Hypermetabolism’ EP out earlier this year on the US label @wearetar. Coming with an album cover by the Italian visual artist eurasiandesert [https://instagram.com/eurasiandesert/] and an official two-sided A5 300 gr. cardboard artwork print, the 4-tracker release is a coherent, eventful episode of knife-edge post-club hybridization, a treasury of outstanding sound design skills, vicious bass handling, and rhythmical obsessivity.

The centerpiece of their work is extensive vocal manipulation, employing voice chops with the role of primary composition tools within the multi-faceted pieces rich in heavy kick drums, snappy percussions, and gurgling vibrations. Drawing influence from contemporary electronic genres as well as free-form experimental music, the EP is closed by a trancey, grandiose rework of the opening track Yerro curated by the influential artist @galentipton (she/they), and a somber, pitch-black remix by Italian-based composer and producer @shevsmachine (she/her).

With ‘Armor’, CupoCupo hand out explosions of shattered sounds cramming themselves in turbulent flows of energy, where self-perception is challenged, strength is tested, and certainties are dismantled. Sealed lips utter red-hot rants oscillating from burning outbursts of chaos to sudden clarity. Tragic voices sing penetrating ballads for wandering bodies, waiting for their destiny to manifest and vehemently start opposing it. Light comes with darkness, and anything can be worth struggling for. CupoCupo’s outings are nothing but heartfelt testimony that brighter times are yet to come. Or not.

She has released numerous projects on Orange Milk Records, Deskpop, and Unseelie, and most recently her song “tadpoles lullaby” has gone viral on Tik Tok. in all her work whether it be pop, club, or sound collage her focus is finding the connective tissue between the challenging and the accessible, always with a strong sense of play.

Misty Picture is the collaborative project of Enchanted Lands and Wim Dehaen, exploring the alluring dimension of soundfonts, CG environments and digital ambience.

Enchanted Lands is a producer based in Prague, Czech Republic. Her work consists of digitally manipulated sound material, evoking ethereal landscapes, impossible beautiful harps and lush textures. Her debut EP was released on the Genot Centre label, netting her a newcomer of the year award at the Vinyla award. Her debut full length album, Cryptic Island Eco-Sanctuary was released as a digital file and game environment on the forward thinking Quantum Natives label.
Wim Dehaen is a chemistry researcher and trackmaker based in Prague, Czech Republic. He is the co-founder of the Genot Centre label and over the years has done various releases, also under alter egos such as BENELUX ENERGY and Mango Object. His interests include: dsp, systems and dance music subcultures.
