"Boom the Funk, Baby - we're getting heavy on the Jam. Five hot remixes of the infamous Nynfus Corporation. First up is Heavy Send's remix of "Boom" and yes it's heavy and full of chunky funk. The Spank! is back with a hypnotic groove as he remixes "Put Em Up". Funk Ferret pushes up the tempo into a disco infused breakbeat for "You Got the Love". The Hong Kong Ping Pong skank their way through a reggae inspired mid-tempo gem called "In Dia". And finally the Basement Freaks bring their classic funk sound with "Put Em Up". Five Bombastic Jams, five different styles - something for everyone."

Look, i'm no superstar DJ but i can slap a mix together in Ableton using my knowledge as a producer. With this mix i have thrown a bunch of miss matched music together using Ableton, copy, cut and pasting as i go. Making up loops to suit a mix in or out of each track. You are going to hear tracks from Kate Bush, Moby, Skeewiff and everything in between. Pretty sure you folks are going to dig this Mashup Mix, enjoy ! x :)

Take a Step Back

I make these mixes in Ableton for a bit of fun and a rest from making a track or remix for a label etc. I love seeing what mashups and edits i can make on the go even giving myself ideas for future use of samples and music. This is really a cut and paste mix using intros, loops and beats to make a mix between each track. There is no rhyme or reason for each track, i literally throw tracks into Mixed In Key and arrange from there.

Pecoe - Throw It All In Volume 3

I've thrown it all in again. Using Abelton to create a continous mix of music, copy, cutting, pasting and creating edits and loops as i go. From Lady Gaga to Daft Punk to the Doobie Brothers, it's a mish mash of music all not making sense to mix together but some how working out in the end. I spent about a month of weekends on this one, so i think it's a little better than the other volumes. So hit play and/or download kick back and listen to the music. x :)

Pecoe - Throw It All In Volume 5

I treated this mix as an hour long Ableton project. Throwing in 50 tracks around 120bpm into the app Mixed in Key, starting at Key 1A and worked my way through to 12A mixing, cutting and pasting as i went. Skipping tracks that didn't fit and adding acapellas as i went too. This continual mix has a lot of funky breaks, disco and various edited tracks from Me, A Skillz, Niceguys, Smoove, Empresarios, Featurecast, Omegaman and Gramophone Soul (to name a few).

Using my cut and paste approach I've treated this mix as an hour long Ableton project using my production knowledge to make edits on the fly and adding (silly) acapellas. The mix is a selection of higher tempo tracks from Nu Skool Breaks to more modern stuff.

Continuing my series, I dumped a whole lot of breaks tunes that have been sitting on my hard drives for the last 20 years or so into the program Mixed In Key and made my way from Key 1A compiling a breaks mix while trying to find the best tunes possible.

Pecoe - Themz The Breakz Vol 2 

I've made a lot of music over the years. Feeling a bit nostalgic i went through some folders from 10 years and past and selected some of my better sounding tunes and threw them into this Ableton mix. 

Its funny going through 100's of tunes you get a real sense that you have made some progression over time from the early days of Soundcloud where it was bootleg central to moving onto making tunes for various record labels all while learning what works best and stream lining my production skills. It's only as you get older you tend to be a bit more careful on what you put out in the public view, as I've learned over the last few years. Still, everyone loves a Free Download so i do enjoy putting edits up for free download as well as taking a bit more time and care when it's an official release.

In 1990 i was 18 years old and found myself in the Rave and Nightclub scene here in Perth, Western Australia. I grew up with the music in this mix so it was trip down memory lane to put this one together. This mix though is a little different than my usual mixes, I used an AI stem separator for each track, so each track in this mix is a remix/edit in itself. 30 tracks all up and mixed in key, hope you enjoy the musical journey and the music brings you back some great memories ! x :)
