Bene and Nils aka @kon-faber are two talented young producers from Berlin. We share quite a few friends and it was just a matter of time till we would be collaborating. That moment happened beginning 2021 and from the moment we heard their track Odyssey for the first time it has been running on repeat in our mountain studio in Portugal.

Logically finding remix artists was not very tricky and we are delighted to welcome Monkyman back to Hug Records with a beauty of a remix. The other remixes are coming from Charlie M and Harry Charles and will be uploaded soon as well. Enjoy the music and lets welcome the arrival of proper Spring in Europe together.

3STRANGE, the electronic alias of techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick, teams up with UK producer Reset Robot on ‘Kinky Animals’. First heard on ‘Anjunadeep 14’ earlier this year, courtesy of a club ready James Grant and Jody Wisternoff edit, ‘Kinky Animals’ is the pair’s debut release on Anjuna’s new downtempo imprint, Reflections.

Having worked with the likes of Baltra, Model Man and dj poolboi as 3STRANGE, Alan has become a frequent face on sister label Anjunadeep over the past couple years, with his 2022 single ‘Someone Else’ featuring Kenya Grace and a well received 2021 club album ‘Machine Therapy’; marking his first LP in over a decade.

With previous releases on influential imprints Poker Flat, Drumcode and Cocoon, Reset Robot aka Dave Robertson has built a reputation as one of electronic music’s most prolific producers. Alan and Dave are no strangers to working together. They have a number of collaborations under their belt and also jointly run their label, Whistleblower Records. 

Now venturing into downtempo territory with their latest track, the duo present a dark-edged electronic production, exploring the use of evocative ambient textures and rhythmic synths.

Iain's original compositions are filled with lyricism and musicality, his use of live instruments and field recordings are just another indication of his creativity and skill. Having shared the stage with recognised acts such as Bob Moses, Jacques Greene and Jay Tripwire, it's clear that Iain's stock is on the rise. 

'To Forget' is quite simply a stunning introduction into the young producers vision. The aforementioned live instruments and field recordings are intertwined with layers of pads, drums, hazy chords and vocals, coupled with psychedelic sounds that draw you in and take you on an atmospheric filled journey.
