EVADNE,  Spanish Melancholic Metal band, formed in the year 2003 and influenced by classical Death/Doom metal bands of the 90´s. Evadne´s sound is based in melancholy, a desperate and devoted attempt to establish a band sound that cries for the deepest, most arcane and saddest feelings in humans.

From Darkness, Daylight is born; in Darkness, Daylight Die. I try my best to work on the most ambitious Chinese music magazine - D-LAND（ex-DRAGONLAND）, which supports Extreme Metal, Neo-Classical, Neo-Folk and all music genres with strong background and ideology. Vespera (Dorin Panduru, Andrei Călbăjos, Teodora Bârla, Till Djent, George Chereji) was born in 2005 having their debut on the Cluj-Napoca scene and then performing throughout all the country within several concerts and festivals, among great rock and metal bands. 
In 2007 the band releases their first demo “Vespera”, produced by Tibor Baszo (Alias Music Studio). The year 2008 brings them the 1stPlace at the “Maximum Rock Suport pentru Underground” contest with Mary Of Bethany song, included on their debut album “Desert Of The Real”, released in 2011, under the same production. The album brings together several styles and influences, from industrial, electro and hardcore, to death and oriental. 
The year 2012 brings Vespera the Grand Prize at Posada Rock Festival (Câmpulung Muscel) which bought them a place in the Romanian G.B.O.B. Final. In the last few years, the band held tens of concerts throughout the country (Peninsula, Artmania, Rock in Parc, Maximum Rock Festival, sharing the stage with known Romanian and foreign bands, such as The Who, My Dying Bride, Leaves' Eyes or 69 Eyes). Also, in 2013, the band won 1st Place at the metal category at the Rock’N’Iaşi Festival and in 2015 they take part in the National G.B.O.B. Final. 
Next, they are working intensely on their second album, “Imago”, which is being promoted with the release of two videos: “Imago” and “Fvck Them” (2017) as well as the release of “Fvck Them” single, at the end of 2017. They are currently promoting their album through a tour all across the country.

The Eternal formed in Melbourne, Australia in early 2003. In the bands almost 20 year history they have released 6 internationally acclaimed studio albums, 2 Live albums & a concert DVD. The band has toured extensively nationally & internationally with the likes of Amorphis, Anathema, Him, Katatonia, Swallow The Sun & Opeth just to name a few. The Eternal’s sound can be best described as dark, melancholic, emotive metal with Doom & Progressive influences. With the addition of new members Jan Rechberger (Amorphis) & Niclas Etelävuori (ex-Amorphis / Flat Earth) the band have just completed their new album. The band has become a truly international collaboration with half the band being based in Melbourne, Australia and the other half being based in Helsinki, Finland. The yet to be titled 8th studio album will be released early in 2023.

Bio

[EN] Evictus, from Latin, is the past participle of "envicere" which in turn means recover, bring back something that was taken from you by someone (either by force, either you have forgotten, is that you have lost ) and passed to a third person.

Evictus The band was formed in 2003 from the ashes of other formations of doom and black metal. With these influences, the proposal of the band is to perform the traditional doom metal, without abandoning the characteristic feeling of style, combining the most serious weight and adjustments to themes and melodies that could express genuine feelings.

Since 2004, training has stabilized with Leonardo "Hackin" Freire and Ancelmo Rodrigues on guitars, Paul Henry on drums, Eduardo "Tob" on bass and Fernanda Freitas on vocals. There was an attempt by the inclusion of keyboards at the beginning that was not successful, helping to define the style of the band approaching the sound of the band to the epic doom like My Dying Bride and Candlemass but with a different twist granted because the singer Fernanda be a soprano highly influenced by the likes of The Gathering, Theatre of Tragedy and others.

In 2006, the fruit of two years of band born in the form of an EP with five compositions have performed on several occasions live, being well received by audiences and critics. This reaction led to invitations to various events inside and outside the ES.

In 2010 the band gives a screeching halt, with the birth of Helena, daughter of singer Fernanda with bassist Eduardo Tob. In the meantime, the band tried to produce some sounds but no prospects of immediate return to medium / long term.

In 2012, after several cycles back, the Ancelmo guitarist also left the band. It was decreed the end of Evictus as a band, generating some other projects of remaining members.

In 2014 , the band decides to return to active for some shows. Begins in the month of December, the recording of their second record , with songs that have been around since 2010. The recording was made in Level Studio in mid-2015 and completed in January 2016. A longtime friend Sara Lemos becomes our second guitarrist officialy. At this time the band search some partnerships to enable the launch of the work, called The Box.

Com o encerramento das atividades das bandas DISTARNISH (Melodic Death Metal) e ELOHA (Gothic Metal), onde Hosenan 'Osy' Cordeiro e Raquel Cordeiro eram vocalistas, respectivamente, em meados de 2010, ambos chegaram à conclusão de que era momento de terem uma banda juntos e que o estilo deveria ser Doom Metal, que segundo eles, é a fusão perfeita do Death Metal com o Gótico.

Depois de muita pesquisa e opiniões, chegou-se à conclusão de que o nome da banda seria KHALISYS (do Grego ‘Khalisis’, significado ‘Cálice’).

Por dois anos o casal buscou por seres dispostos a compor a formação da banda, onde em meados de 2012, depois de algumas mudanças, a formação passou a contar com Hosenan 'Osy' Cordeiro nos vocais (ex-Distarnish), Raquel Cordeiro nos vocais femininos (ex-Eloha), Laerson Gurtler no baixo e back vocal (ex-Eloha), Warner Borchardt na bateria (ex-Distarnish), Joe Marc Rigamont na guitarra (ex-Castle Of Souls), Waliston Martins nos teclados e sintetizadores, e Charles Soares (ex-Warning Profecy) na guitarra e back vocal.

Frank Wells is an italian bass guitarist, songwriter and occasionally vocalist, who has been active in

Frank Wells - Biography

Chapter 1 - Mortal Fungus
In 1991, there existed an evil group of subversive youth, whose sole purpose was to show others
about the beauty of death. As time passed, they discovered that music was the best form of
expressing the evil that they had learned. These youth became what the leaders of the underground
know to be MORTAL FUNGUS. They recorded two infamous demo-tapes, raw, sloppy, noisy
death/grind under the influence of early Hellhammer, early Necrophagia, early Napalm Death &
Carcass, before disbanding in 1994.

Chapter 2 - Arkenemy
Formed in 1995 with the addiction of ex-Mortal Fungus singer, bass player and lyricist, Frank
Wells, two years later they recorded a 4-songs demo, "Frost bite", a good piece of thrash/death
metal, maybe dispersive and pretentious at times, but very aggressive and played with skill and
rage. ARKENEMY played many concerts in northern Italy, including one supporting Sadist.

Chapter 3 - Mortal Fungus mk.II
MORTAL FUNGUS reformed in 1998 with a different line-up, recording the classic 6-songs
cassette "Frightening countries" (featuring a cover of Autopsy "Service for a vacant coffin"), a great
improvement which allowed them to be finally taken seriously in the underground. Even though
MORTAL FUNGUS is basically an old school style death metal band, comparable to old giants like
Obituary, early Death, Massacre, Autopsy and Celtic Frost, the guitars frequently evoke more of a
heavy thrash feel. Unable to kneel to musical trends and absolutely loyal to their death metal roots,
MORTAL FUNGUS were put on hiatus several times during the years, but they never really
disbanded. Their latest CD and first full lenght release, "Back to the lombrosary", was recorded in
2008. Future plans: re-release of “Back to the lombrosary” with a brand new song, a couple of rerecorded
old songs, new backing vocals on some tracks, remastering process and improved guitar
sound.

Chapter 4 - Demonia
DEMONIA were surely one of the most promising gothic metal bands of the late 90's. Their second
promo-CD, actually recorded in 2001, was released two years later due to line-up problems
(drummer, bassist and keyboards player left the group after this release). Their music can best be
described as slow, melodic and atmospheric gothic/doom, with a lot of slow doomy tunes, plus
excellent female vocals that, although a tad deeper than most in the genre, reveal an incredible
ability to sing in such a soothing way. Add a beautiful piano, a faint church organ, choir, relaxed
guitars that don't over-dominate the serenity, and you have a fairly good idea of how they sounded.
What made DEMONIA so special was their ability to make music that harmonized into beautiful
melodies without any particularly impressive guitarplay or soloing.

Chapter 5 - Transiency
TRANSIENCY came to life in 2001 from the ashes of female-fronted gothic/doom metal band
Demonia. They started working on their debut EP, "Manqualm" (a concept about The Black Death),
in 2002, and finally released it in 2007. The tracks on this release have a pleasant narrative quality,
there's a good deal of mystery and tantalising plot elements in the track names alone.
TRANSIENCY play a genre almost forgotten nowadays, taking elements from gothic, doom and
death metal, producing a gloomy, melancholic sound with plenty of weight and focus. Someone
heard similarities with early Amorphis, Katatonia, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Amon Amarth,
due to the mournful leads, dominant bass and Frank's guttural doom vocals. Their 2nd EP,
"Abominations of civilization", is once again unified by a theme (the horrors of colonization).

Chapter 6 - World Funeral
In 2004, the original line-up of Mortal Fungus got back together assembling a collection of old
tunes ("Mortal...Funeral"), and working on new stuff. WORLD FUNERAL play slow, ultra-heavy
riffs, with a raw production and experimental edge. In their own words, WORLD FUNERAL
defined theirselves as a "doom/core" outfit, drawing on elements from the Black Sabbath style on
one side and elements from the diSEMBOWELMENT-and-Winter one on the other, also showing
tendencies towards psychedelic rock, sludge doom and ‘core riffage that infused the music with a
slightly lighter mood amongst the darkness. They released one rough demo in 2006, and finally
recorded their debut 7 songs CD (“Caledarium et frigidarium”) in 2007, before disbanding.
World Funeral never wrote new tunes after their debut long-playing, but in 2013 they started rearranging
and re-recording their first, self-titled demo, for a possible 2014 official release.

Chapter 7 - Hell Muñeco
HELL MUÑECO was founded in 2008 by Frank Wells, who wanted to record some tunes he
originally wrote as a follow up to World Funeral's "Caledarium et frigidarium". All bandmembers
are well experienced musicians, they are influenced by stoner, heavy doom & NWOBHM bands
and also by 70's dark rock with Black Sabbath in primis, but that almost goes without saying when
it comes to doom-metal. HELL MUÑECO started with the intention of writing slow and heavy riffs
with weird guitar harmonies and a touch of gothic, they have no shortage of groovy riffs and good
concepts of doom that lyrically deal with social subjects. On their second release they managed to
get a more powerful sound, with a darker approach on the lyrical side, plus a groovier and heavier
riffing provided by their new lead and rhythm guitarist, Mirko Bosco (from Witches’ Brew).

Chapter 8 - Scorra
SCORRA is an italian oldschool grindcore band which recorded a 22 songs CD, "Il girone della
merda" (2008), released in 2010 after a long delay due to the politically uncorrect lyrics and
controversial artwork, all about issues still relevant nowadays in the collapsing italian nation.
They're now gathering ideas for another release, "Antica trattoria della merda", scheduled for 2014.

Chapter 9 - Cimitero
CIMITERO belong to the current wave of bands doing death metal the old way. Altough this entity
was formed only a couple of years ago, their members "were already pullulating in the underground
around 1990", which means each one was involved with other bands that time. There is a certain
constant groove and quality in how CIMITERO write their songs, that is plain to hear when dealing
with experienced musicians which, in their own words, are "opposed with any affiliation with the
modern metal scene". Their music is comparable with a mix of death and (most of all) thrash metal,
with hints of black metal to be find here and there on their first release, while vocals are
occasionally dual-layered as the good Carcass of old did. CIMITERO are still spreading old school
death metal with their second release, "Morbid curiosity", a concept album about selected shocking
events happened in Italy throughout the years.

Chapter 10 - Dark Recollections
Back in 2008, Frank Wells started working on his first non-metal project, looking for a more dark
rock sound with prominent bass lines, 80's keyboards, drum machine, and a mix of arpeggios, clean
and electric guitar. After choosing the monicker DARK RECOLLECTIONS, he collaborated with
longtime buddy Andy Soresina (Oniromantic, Stygian, Neophyte, Alice in Darkland among others),
who provided amazing guitar arrangements, and writer Davide Montoro who wrote introspective
and moody lyrics. Struggling to find a reliable singer, and reluctant to take on vocal duties, Frank
shelved the project a few times before finally finding the warm and deep voice of Anthony Manuzi,
formerly of UK darkwave band Veil of Isis, whose main influences are Joy Division, The Cure,
Killing Joke, The Cult (early), Sisters of Mercy, The Mission (early), Echo & The Bunnymen,
Depeche Mode (post-pop), U2 e Cocteau Twins.

LUGUBRES: banda de Doom Metal de São Paulo, SP 

A Lúgubres é uma banda de Doom Metal que se origina na extinta banda Lúgubres Memórias, formada em abril de 2006 em São Luís-MA , com a mudança de Robson para a a capital paulista(por motivos pessoais) a banda reduziu seu nome para LÚGUBRES.

As principais influencias da banda são Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Mourning Beloveth ,Evoken, While Heaven Wept, My Dying Bride, Anathema, Paradise Lost, Saint Vitus e canto gregoriano .
A banda lançou um split/cdr em parceria com a banda Les Memoires Fall.Atualmente é formada por Robson de Medeiros ( guitarra/vocal), Del Vieira (guitarra), Glauber Cantacine (baixo/vocal)  e Charles (bateria). A principal mensagem da banda é o desespero humano frente a finitude inevitável ou seja, toda a angústia e o sofrimento provenientes do fato de que o homem não suporta a dor de que um dia vai morrer e não há como evitar isso. Por vezes o homem cria formas de tentar superar essa dor criando ritos funerários e religiões,muito fácil de notar em um velório ,por exemplo,criado como uma forma de se conformar com a perda do ente querido prestando-lhe uma ultima homenagem.Em questões políticas e religiosas a banda se mantém neutra.A Lúgubres faz parte do cast de bandas do movimento “União Doom Metal” e , em parceria com as bandas Soul’s Silence e Primal O'Ziriam participa do projeto “Doom Metal United”. .Em novembro de 2012 fez seu debut show no festival Domingo ao Extremo em São Caetano do Sul

Lúgubres is a Doom Metal band that originates in the extinct band Lúgubres Memorias , formed in April 2006 in São Luís, MA,(BR) with changing Robson for São Paulo ;BR (for personal reasons) the band reduced to its name for LÚGUBRES.

The early years of the band April Weeps can be traced back to the year 2004 to a town called Dunajská Streda, where a group of friends got together to show the appreciation for metal music not only by listening to it, but also playing it. After a long reflecting on the band’s name, APRIL WEEDS was born. The band derived its inspiration from names like MY DYING BRIDE, HEAVENWOOD, TRISTANIA, IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, THEATRE OF TRAGEDY, a genre that was not typical for the vicinity of Dunajská Streda, especially with a great use of keyboards. Their music was not easy to categorize, they included the best from each of the sources of inspiration, but they had one thing in common: a melody. After a year of rehearsing and a few gigs played, April Weeds recorded their first demo in a home studio. Unfortunately, the next 5 years after the recording were very hard on the young musicians. The constant line-up changes, loss of rehearsing place and bad luck forced the band to meet its fate and get separated. But the willpower and love for metal of several past members have led to revival and after new members recruiting in 2010, April Weeps was formed. 3/4 of a year later another demo is being recorded and another crisis strikes. The band gets separated again, mostly because of personal conflicts and differences in opinions related to the band. Nevertheless thanks to the persistence of core members in December 2011 the circle was sealed and the final line-up was established. In September 2012, April Weeps recorded their debut album Outer calm, Pain within in 999th studio, which is released later, in February 2013 and consists of 11 songs. The band is currently working on its first single/official promo video.
