The storm swallowed the night.

Cicadas buzzed, and somewhere in the dark, wolves began to howl, distant at first, then closer.


Ookami knelt in an empty field, clutching the weight of memories she could never let go.


From the shadows, two wolves emerged.


The White Wolf stepped forward, its fur glowing beneath the moonlight. Cherry blossoms rose where it walked, gentle, fragile traces of hope.

“Hold on,” it whispered. “You can still fight.”


Then came the Black Wolf, eyes burning red. With each step, spider lilies bloomed, beautiful and cruel.

“Give in,” it thundered. “Let the darkness consume you.”


Her scream tore through the storm, not just of pain, but a plea for help.


Hear me cry.


The wolves circled her as the night trembled.

And in the silence that followed, one question lingered in the wind:


Did the White Wolf save her, or did the Black Wolf win? 🌑🐺🌸

Dougherty Island - 120º W, 59º S
Captain Dougherty of the English whaling ship James Stewart, discovers the island in 1841 and describes it as 5–6 miles long with a high bluff to the northeast and a valley in the middle covered in snow. Dougherty's discovery is confirmed by English captains in 1859, and 1891. Sailing through the area during Shackleton's Antarctic expedition of 1908–1909, Captain Davis, Chief Officer of the Nimrod suggests that fog banks or icebergs had deceived Dougherty and his successors. Nonetheless, a license granting “exclusive rights to occupy the island for the purposes of removing guano and other fertilising substances” is issued to the Norwegian whaler HJ Bull by the British Government in 1913.

Bristolians Tara Clerkin Trio sign the new 10TRAX n72. The trio, composed by Tara Clerkin, Sunny-Joe Paradisos and Patrick Benjamin, have recently released their self-titled album on the label Laura Lies In. Tara Clerkin released previously in 2017 her solo debut album “Hello” via Stolen Body.

We want to give a big shout out to Max who shared with us the TCT album earlier this year and gave us the opportunity to discover this amazing group and their beautiful music.

This 10TRAX brings a cool combination of downtempo, jazz, electronics and everything in between. It’s perfect for welcoming the summer in this weird year.

10TRAX #072 : Tara Clerkin Trio

A series of bleak, blustery scenes make up Nazanin Noori’s Farce. Noori, who also works as a theater director, conjures glacial storms and buzzing subterranean server farms on this album; but such scenes were far from the artist’s guiding narrative as it was being produced. The two tracks, clocking in at 80 minutes total, were envisioned as an enraged argument (or a "modular heartbreak") unfolding between two groups of people about a pothole in the road, told from the perspective of the road, and then the pothole.

This surreal, mundane plot device is nowhere to be found on Farce in any concrete way. And this is intentional. Noori, inspired by Artaud's concept of the theatre of cruelty, wants listeners to develop their own sensorial world separate from the musician's. When not darkly ambient, the tracks are full of drama and whimsy, as if a spotlight is following a character along a wayward path, into the hands of fate. The emotional hooks in the sound include a sense of desperate desolation, optimistic reprieve, and of course, the sense that ritual repetition is both a curse and a blessing—but they resist obvious imagery. Exactly what kinds of characters or settings get hung on the album's scaffolding is up to the audience. Listening with a hi-fi sound-system is highly recommended.

Nazanin Noori is an Iranian artist living and working in Berlin, Germany. Her work includes theater and radio play direction, music, and text. She focuses on atmospheric narratives in sound, and works to overcome cultural reliance on sentiment by making dramatic adaptations of non-dramatic texts. She studied theater, film and media sciences at Goethe University in Frankfurt and worked at Deutsches Theater and Schauspiel Hannover. She currently selects Acid Folk for POMP, a sound scenario series on Retreat Radio, and is an artist-in-residence at the Young Academy of the Arts in Berlin.

Nazanin Noori - IMAGINE ALL THAT FALL IN A POTHOLE ON A BEAUTIFUL DAY (ENMX09)

'New Love Music' is Marta Forsberg’s newest work, a composition for sine waves, zither and a choir. Originally written and performed as an installation piece for electronics and LED lights (with performances across Europe and in Japan), Marta Forsberg reworked the piece and is now sharing it on Warm Winters Ltd., divided into three movements - New/Love/Music. 

Composed using sine waves, sampled zither and recordings of a choir, 'New Love Music' is an exploration of the absence of sound, the simple nature of sine waves, the fullness of the zither, and the warmth of human voices. It unravels slowly, and is “a practice of waiting and listening” even for Marta Forsberg. 

Releasing in full on October 16 2020 on ltd edition cassette tapes and digital files.
