Back in February 2021 Virginyah made her debut solo appearance on Timewarp Music with her inspiring release 'What Do You Want'! Now, again with the remarkable contribution and guidance of Rsn in the production, we are very happy to present some new versions and instrumental tracks of this release! 

Virginyah, RSN - Therapy Sessions remixes & instrumentals showcases two new remixes and five instrumental versions of the original release! 

Well known producer and dj Jayl Funk introduces the release with his take on 'Get Away'. Jayl Funk with his signature sound and production gives his version of a more funk downtempo, soulful groovy version of the track. The warm playful vocals of Virginyah are harmonically combined with a trip hop groove style giving us a sweet, mellow result. 

Greek - Crete based and one of our Kraak Records favourite, mCurtis, is responsible for remixing 'Why'. The result is a downtempo trip hop gem, very atmospheric and chill out perfectly encasing Virginyah's ethereal vocals! 

All five tracks of the original release are also presented in their instrumental versions - giving a shout out to the amazing production of Rsn while giving the chance to instrumental dj's to be able and spin the non vocal versions.

On Silk Sofa we are proud to present the brand new artist album from Deepshader & Nazca (Moldova / USA). "Ashes From The Sky" consists of over a dozen outstanding chillout and downtempo pieces.

The album intro starts off with lush bell melodies, which are later accompanied by a tranquil breakbeat. Just released as a single with an accompanying remix by Gorm Sorensen, "Covered By The Blue Fog" includes mesmerizing guitar riffs and sidechained pad lines. "My Rainy Day" quickly introduces a hypnotizing soundscape, featuring captivating arpeggio lines and a soft breakbeat. A memorable guitar riff is showcased in the 4th track, "From Now You Are Home", which also includes myriad underlying atmospheric elements. "If You're A Bird" consists of an almost haunting piano line, as well as floating pad layers in the background and a calm guitar riff. The next song, "I'm A Bird Too", perfectly follows in the footsteps of the previous one, using subtle piano lines and gentle guitar strokes. "Forever In The Night" contains a blissful atmosphere, including tranquil guitar riffs and lush percussion elements. A slow 4/4 beat is introduced in "The Soulflayer", which also showcases subtle choir elements and airy pad lines underneath. A delightful soundscape is quickly established in "Tripping On My Nightly Dreams", in which we witness mesmerizing pad layers and subtle guitar riffs in the foreground. "Living With The Ghosts" starts out with lush guitar riffs that gently guide the listener throughout this breath-taking piece. Featuring Rob Phipps (USA), "Antikythera" consists of haunting male vocal stems, as well as mood-setting guitar melodies in the background. "The Timewriter", a collaboration with S.Bluyer (Moldova), features an intriguing breakbeat and intricate sound effects, as well as an interesting spoken word sample. A stunning atmosphere is quickly established in "Lucy", a collaboration with Max Farewell (Moldova). Piano strokes, guitar melodies and subtle choir elements unite beautifully. The album outro features excellent textures and enjoyable, subtle guitar melodies, as well as blissful pad layers in the background.

From one of the most interesting and iconic musicians of our time, a piercingly tender, funny, and harrowing account of the path from suburban poverty and alienation to a life of beauty, squalor, and unlikely success out of the NYC club scene of the late '80s and '90s.

There were many reasons Moby was never going to make it as a DJ and musician in the New York club scene. This was the New York of Palladium; of Mars, Limelight, and Twilo; of unchecked, drug-fueled hedonism in pumping clubs where dance music was still largely underground, popular chiefly among working-class African Americans and Latinos. And then there was Moby—not just a poor, skinny white kid from Connecticut, but a devout Christian, a vegan, and a teetotaler. He would learn what it was to be spat on, to live on almost nothing. But it was perhaps the last good time for an artist to live on nothing in New York City: the age of AIDS and crack but also of a defiantly festive cultural underworld. Not without drama, he found his way. But success was not uncomplicated; it led to wretched, if in hindsight sometimes hilarious, excess and proved all too fleeting.
