Recorded at Blue Light Studio in Vancouver with producer Kaj Falch-Nielsen, the album consists of 10 songs with the lead singles being, 'Mona', 'Night Crawlin' & 'Beckon Command'. Dear Students

Street Arts Project, a non-profit charity working with the homeless and vulnerable of Stratford upon Avon, will be releasing their new album ‘Wake Me Up Tomorrow’ on January 14th.

The album is the culmination of two years workshops throughout the lockdowns and features Street Arts Project’s participants and professional musicians, Nigel Clark (frontman of ‘90s Britpop legends Dodgy), Wes Finch and Jack Blackman. 

The 13 songs on ‘Wake Me Up Tomorrow’ tackle the themes of addiction, loneliness, boats, mental health problems, isolation, even 19th century dentistry! 

The workshops, funded by Stratford Town Trust, support attendees to write lyrics, poems, a piece of music, or simply a page of thoughts, that are then crafted into songs.

Doug Armstrong, Facilitator said “We give a voice to experiences and feelings and a chance to unlock a creativity that the participants hadn't previously known how to articulate or share. Fun, at times bizarre, occasionally sad, but always real. Just like life.”

The first single is the title track, ‘Wake Me Up Tomorrow’ featuring lyrics by Jonas, originally from Lithuania. Jonas spent years sleeping rough in a tent.

an indie alternative rock tune about a girl called Violet and her struggles with mental illness and psychosis.
Sometimes life just plays games with your mind and you end up somewhere and dont really know how you got there. This is a song about what it feels like when that happens and the uncirtanty of life it self.

I have used both acoustic and electric guitars on this one and my new audient soundcard and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the final result!

The song was originally a singersongwriter piece, it still is only a few things happened in the studio which made it so much more interesting and this is the outcome of that #session

THE LINCOLN PROJECT

Originally released at the end of 2000, the first and only studio album from Missoula's Bob Wire & the Fencemenders comprises 14 tracks. Seven originals and seven covers, it captures the energy and spirit of one of Missoula's most beloved bands.

Thunderous, abstract and outrageously psychedelic best defines the multi-talented artist Pennan Brae. Not only does Pennan create classic rock-infused albums, they also serve as soundtracks for films he writes and co-produces.   

2023 sees the release of 2 new albums, the 1980s rock-inspired 'Arcade' release & the 12-track '2 Below 0' (Remastered) Soundtrack. In the Spring of 2022, Pennan kicked things off with lead singles 'Zulu', '5 Foot 2' & 'Super Storm' off the 'The Garden Series, Vol. 2: Picked' album.  The 10 tracks release serves as the second half of a double album with Vol. 1's 'Planted' released in Nov 2021.  

'Planted' kicked off with Pennan's upbeat country rock track, 'Mona' off the 'Planted' album.  During the summer, Pennan released his 9th album, 'Cinema' & the new track, 'Weed & Whisky Women'.  The album is mixed by Kirk Kelsey (The Smashing Pumpkins) & mastered by Adam Fulton of The Mix Medics.

2021 also welcomes Pennan’s new release ‘Lit’, a 10-song thrill ride oozing with the spirit of 1970s & 80s rock & roll. 

2020 saw the release of Pennan’s seventh album & accompanying album, ‘2 Below 0’.  Recorded at Blue Light Studio in Vancouver with producer Kaj Falch-Nielsen, the 12-song rock & roll masterpiece received airplay on 130 AAA & College Radio Stations in North America.  Pennan created music videos with Hip Video Promo & director Tim Cash for each single off the album. They have gone on to receive rotation 50 television stations across the United States. The film & soundtrack have also received accolades at 75 film festivals worldwide. 

In 2018, Pennan released ‘The Astronot’ album & film. Mixed by producer Kirk Kelsey (Smashing Pumpkins, Creed), the lead singles, ‘Walk With Me’ & ‘Crashland’ feature legendary drummer Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Eric Clapton) and bassist Garry Gary Beers (INXS). ‘Crashland’ was written with Grammy-nominee Eric Alexandrakis & the album mastered by Grammy-winner Sean Magee (The Beatles Remasters, Pink Floyd) at Abbey Road Studios.

FEEDBACK FAMILY: REPOSTS no longer work and LIKES make no difference whatsoever; ONLY positive FEEDBACK makes a difference, a BIG difference. Feedback makes your account more VISIBLE so it brings MORE TRAFFIC, MORE LISTENERS—it also serves as GENUINE HYPE, visitors see the amount of feedback you receive and that arouses their curiosity to listen, and when they listen, seeing all that genuine hype influences the way they listen—they hear your music through POSITIVE EARS. 

The ABSENCE of feedback has the reverse psychological effect, it KILLS CURIOSITY, and those who do listen, listen with NEGATIVE EARS. Potential listeners rarely find your page in the first place because the LACK OF FEEDBACK means your music posts don’t appear in THE FEED, quickly disappearing from view. The music of those who DO enjoy feedback REMAINS in the feed, visible to viewers, and the visibility of their latest post is far greater than those who don’t receive feedback. 

The result, some of best music on Soundcloud goes UNNOTICED, which is why I propose the idea of a FEEDBACK FAMILY as a way of raising the profile of all those who joined this initiative. MUSICIANS THAT HAVE A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE TO THE REST, TEND TO MAKE MUSIC THAT IS DIFFERENT TO THE REST!
It is common practice for musicians to click the like button on #Soundcloud without ever listening to the tune! There is no proof it was listened to, so it's impossible to know who genuinely likes a track! Only actual #feedback proves it's been heard!

I use to follow musicians back that clicked the like button, but it becomes very obvious that only 10% actually listen, when you receive five times as many likes as listens. This has made me extremely wary about being the first to leave feedback, and that kind of wariness spreads like wildfire!

Because of this, I only follow musicians back that leave feedback, or share one of my posts; and I will only leave feedback once if the favor isn't returned. it is better to keep searching for musicians who have enough #class and #humility to return the #respect!

#Musicians that have those qualities clearly have depth, creating tunes for the love of it, rather than simple to fuel their own ego, and fatten their bank accounts!
