Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Canadian duo Orphx (Sonic Groove / HANDS).

Orphx have been creating their unique fusion of rhythm and noise since the mid 90s, combining elements of techno with the experimental techniques and critical spirit of industrial music.
The project was founded in 1993 by Rich Oddie, Christina Sealey, and Aron West, who began creating improvised soundscapes and audio/visual performances inspired by early industrial music, grindcore, and power electronics. 
Following cassette releases on their own Xcreteria label, West departed to focus on absurdist noise project Tropism while Oddie and Sealey began to push Orphx in a more rhythmic direction. 
Their distinctive sound used powerful layered rhythms, modulating soundscapes, and processed vocals and samples to explore themes of psychological conflict and social control. 

Orphx have refined their sound across numerous releases and many changes in tools and techniques, moving from reel to reel tape machines and homemade instruments to software sequencing and processing, and then back again to hardware following Sealey's adoption of modular synthesizers in 2008. 
Oddie and Sealey are renowned for delivering improvised live performances that combine modular synth, drum machines, software, and live vocals. 
They have toured throughout Europe, North America, Japan, and China, appearing at international festivals such as Berlin Atonal, Katharsis, Labyrinth, Mutek Montréal, Rural, and Unsound, and regularly performing at techno temples such as Berghain / Panorama Bar, Tresor, and KHIDI. 

Their work has been featured in films and documentaries, including I Dream of Wires (2014) and Soundtrack for the Urban Decay (2015). 
In recent years, they have been working on new audio-visual performances using infrasound and multi-channel speaker systems, working in collaboration with video artist Patrick Trudeau and McMaster University's Institute for Music and the Mind.

Since its emergence the project the has been often labelled as „pitch black techno war funk“ (quoted after an early Boomkat review) and closely associated to what later on would be tagged as the „industrial techno“ – movement. This is possibly due to the radical machine aesthetics Ancient Methods has developed into an unmistakable trademark sound, since more than a decade. Dirty Epic welcomes aboard the mysterious @headlesshorseman-1 for its twenty-seventh episode of Amplify Series.

From the shadows to the stage, Headless Horseman's musical efforts are meticulously executed without compromise. The eponymous Headless releases sum up the modus operandi of this artist: dark, raw and rhythmic IDM flavoured Techno.

His hardware only live sets at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, Boiler Room and worldwide have showcased the Horseman’s insurmountable skills as a producer and cemented his place in today's techno scene.

Amplify Series 027 - Headless Horseman

BLUSH_RESPONSE is the vehicle for Cuban/American musician Joey Blush's research into the sonic dimension. Reports occur at sporadic intervals, usually in concurrence with the discovery of new planes of existence. Born in Miami, and now stationed in Berlin, Blush has brought his sound experiments to a worldwide audience. He has toured around the world as a solo artist, and as a member of groups such as Scar the Martyr and Front Line Assembly. He is also a sound designer, having done work for companies such as Elektron, Yamaha, and Arturia, and programming on records from Fear Factory, Cristian Castro, and many more.

Blush expresses his sound through deep meditation with his electronic instruments, focusing on the interaction between human and machine. He seeks to both influence and harness the unpredictability of complex electronic instrumentation, in an effort to create an direct expression of his emotions. This sonic ritualism is exemplified in his prolific reporting of fractalized audio sculpture.

Blush owns the MEGASTRUCTURE_ label, a haven for sounds on the fringes of reality. You can find his releases on labels such as Schematic, Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, Ant-Zen, Sonic Groove, and his own MEGASTRUCTURE_.

Unhuman, best known for his output on Bite, Instruments of Discipline, Liber Null, Veleno Viola and more has carved a unique sound oscillating between power electronics, techno, EBM, noise and beyond. Well known for being half of punishing techno project NX1, Surit has released solo material on Body Theory, Nicz and his own Nexe Records imprint.
