It is one of the most anticipated Global DJ Broadcast episodes every year, and for many a highlight of the summer (no pressure guys!), where I dedicate myself to crafting a special 2 hour mix containing some of the most beautiful melodies and early morning moments that have graced the beaches and shores of Ibiza and beyond - the Sunrise Set.

After 3 months of preparation in ensuring that this would be a journey to remember and appreciated, I showcased it to the world on Global DJ Broadcast, and as requested by the fans, here it is for all of you to enjoy and stream at your leisure. 

Let me know what you think of the mix in the comments. Hope this can be the soundtrack of many special moments with your friends and loved ones watching the sunrise for many years to come.

It’s time for UK singer/songwriter Christian Burns to leave behind the ‘featuring’ and show the world the talented solo artist that he is. With his inimitable voice and powerful song-writing skills, he is more than ready to come under the spotlight. Christian Burns proudly presents his debut album: ‘Simple Modern Answers’.

Some of us know him as a member of the popular British band BBMak, which sold close to 3 million albums. Others have come to love him for his collaborations in electronic dance music, with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Benny Benassi, Paul van Dyk and BT. With 10 years of experience as a singer/songwriter and the support of some of the scene’s most talented producers, the gifted musician now takes the next, important step in his impressive career.

Including collaborations with the likes of BT, Paul Oakenfold, Marco V, Jean Claude Ades, Antillas, Paul van Dyk, Kryder, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and a great deal of solo records as well, the album bridges the gap between EDM and pop music. Through ‘Simple Modern Answers’, he brings 18 future classics, diversity reigning supreme. This is Christian Burns doing what he does best.

During it’s original reign as one of the pioneering Goa trance labels of the 90’s there was one name associated with Perfecto Fluoro more than any other and his trademark energetic productions became the backbone of many Paul Oakenfold live shows from that era. 

Man with No Name was for many the kite mark of high quality melodic trance with razor sharp clarity and punchy production that was years ahead of its time. 

Today Man with No Name’s legacy continues with a select series of headline appearances at the world’s most exciting Psy and Goa festivals where he performs fresh material written exclusively for his set and which will never see an official release.

Having to choose only 3 titles from the MWNN back catalogue was tricky but with “Sugar Rush”, “Floor Essence” and “Teleport” we think we’ve come up with a powerful winning combination to set the pulses racing. 

Legendary Psy producer and regular high ranking DJ Mag top 100 dj Astrix provides a beautifully crafted and very melodic reworking of Sugar Rush while two of our fav producers - Nick Sentience and Apogee up the pace with their tough remixes of “Teleport” and “Floor Essence” respectively – both of which were used on Paul Oakenfold’s recent Nevermind the Bollocks compilation.
 
As far as classic back catalogue re-releases go – this is pure Perfecto Fluoro gold!

There is serious hype around the Juan Cordoni & Esteban Sappir directed video of “Please Me” – which features one of South America’s most popular super models Calu Rivero. 

Of the 3.7 million views the video has attracted on youtube – 2 million have occurred in the last 3 months. This catchy pop dance record is gathering incredible momentum.

Originally released on Argentinian mega band Poncho’s debut album “Ponchototal” in 2009 – “Please Me” went straight to number one in several South American regions and immediately saw countless TV show and advertising syncs including this one featuring Oscar winning actor Richard Darin.

The suggestive lyrics and moody vocals of Maxi Trusso united with Poncho’s catchy hook lines made “Please Me” an instantly recognisable and incredibly infectious hit. 

For six weeks in early 2012 “Please Me” dominated the top 5 download tracks on iTunes Argentina. 

Key South American radio broadcasters 40 Principales, Radio 100 and Metro 95.1 – have all promoted “Please Me” to “Track of the Summer 2012”. 

After playing the track religiously at all his live shows for the last 8 months Paul Oakenfold signed the record to Perfecto and we are now pleased to bring you the first of 2 batches of remixes.

Paul Oakenfold kicks off 2012 in style with a brand new collaboration on Perfecto Records featuring the multi talented rock and electronic vocalist, producer & DJ, Robert Vadney from Greece.

As featured on Paul’s huge 2011 compilation “We Are Planet Perfecto”, which made it into the Top 10 on the iTunes albums chart, “Pop Star” is another massive club anthem with an instantly memorable vocal by Robert Vadney himself.

On remix duties - one of the most renowned Psy trance DJs & Producers on the planet – Yahel. Completing what we believe to be one of his hottest productions to date, this mix features on Paul’s eagerly anticipated “Winter” compilation from his Four Seasons album series (released Feb 17th 2012). 

The first of two remixes completed for Perfecto Records, is by Eximinds who delivers a remix showcasing his abilities and attention to detail. 

Russian DJ Feel’s interpretation should suit the more electro influenced fans, while Phynn gives a traditional sounding take on an already epic single.

“Trance Mission” is Paul Oakenfold’s new album. It features a collection of Oakie covers of some of his all time favourite records and “Madagascar” (originally by Art of Trance) is the fourth single from the album (Following Toca Me, Café Del Mar and Ready Steady Go). And this one is for the die hard Fluoro fans.

“Madagascar” was released on Simon Berry’s Platipus label in 1998 and has seen a number of remixes since.

Paul: “This was a huge record by Art of Trance who were amazing pioneering producers signed to Platipus Records back in the day. This first came out in 1998 with remixes from Cygnus X and then the record went stratospheric when Ferry Corsten and PUSH remixed it little later. This was Cream Courtyard anthem of massive proportions and it was a lot of fun making this new cover version, which I wanted to keep in a pumping full on trance style.”

As well as the killer original which features Paul in full throttle Fluoro mode “Madagascar” features new remixes from trance stalwart Yahel and, fresh from his remix of The Smuggler From Bombay, 140 tech god Harmonic Rush. 

Mac & Monday complete the package with a classy take in trademark M&M style. 

Trance Mission album is released on June 20th.

"Just was having fun as usual. The intro is just a tribute to Dennis Brown which I just covered, as he is one who inspires me in music. Wanted to have my mums track added so everyone could hear her voice and production. Producing the b side for that with my dad to feat on it so my mum and dad will finally have a track released.
