Ontario native Nigel Good has emerged in recent years as one of the most beloved talents on Silk's roster. The emotive (often euphoric) melodies, electro-tinged grooves, and ethereal textures in his tracks have captivated house, progressive, and trance progressive fans alike, as well as captured the attention of many globally renowned international DJs, from Above & Beyond to Porter Robinson. Thanks to the generous support of the international community, he has reached the top of the charts on Beatport on various occasions in both the Progressive House and Trance genres this past year.

With tremendous enthusiasm, Silk Royal presents "Nothing Out Here", Nigel's debut artist album. Spanning a variety of genres, this 12-track release showcases the full range of Nigel's talents. The cinematic "This Is Us" is a fitting opener; a gorgeous piano solo heralds a lush lead melody, floating atop a meaty progressive house groove. The triplet groove of "Flight" is a fresh rhythmic offering, and the melody and strings in this one are equally moving. Nigel enters darker territory with "The Edge", the first of several orchestral pieces on the album. The subsequent cut, "Nothing Out Here", is vintage Nigel: piercing strings and rapturous chords, as well as a summer-flavored guitar hook, provide enormous uplift to the listener. The second "half" of this composition can be heard in the subsequent track, "Something Out There"; all of the feel-good energy reaches its zenith in this one.

At the album's midway point, we are met by the lead single, "One Minus Space", an ironic nod to his previous hit, "Space Minus One". As per usual, Nigel blends acoustic and symphonic instrumentation with synthesized lead chords; the result is one of his most memorable arrangements to date. His drum and bass experiment "Fourth Wall" and his second album interlude, "Cine", further illustrate the diversity of sounds on the album. Centering on an irresistible vocal hook by rising Swedish artist Johnny Norberg, "There For You Now" is the most likely candidate to remain in your head after the first listen. Arguably the album's climactic track, "Discover" features soaring chords, punctuated by heavenly vocal samples (an artist signature). Rounding out the album, "The Balance Part 2" is a very welcome sequel to one of Nigel's most successful singles with Silk. Finally, "This Is It" pays homage to his previous hit "This Is Us"; this gorgeous, string-themed classical piece also brings Nigel's exhilarating and deeply poignant album to its conclusion.

Fresh off the back of his last outing Perla with Gai Barone, Nico is back with the wonderful Napoli By Night and comes backed up with three superb remixes. Nico has consistently proven his skills in the studio as his productions continue to deliver that WOW factor. Support is always near when he release and features on top download sites and charts remain constant. Currently enjoying a thriving festival season, Nico appeared for a double stint at Tomorrowland's double weekender at the Bonzai Stage. Watch this space as much more works are in the pipeline.

The Original Mix intros with a nicely rounded kick and hat classic combi as a stuttering synth fades through with the filters opening teasingly. The track bursts into life with the introduction of a stunning bassline that provides a solid bedrock for this fantastic deep progressive mover. Epic pads sweep across the sound beautifully and pulse with the beat taking us up to the break. Solid progressives grooves from Nico that will no doubt grab a lot of attention.

Chris Harris debuts on Bonzai with his superb remix. Chris has been around the scene for many years having started out as a bass player in 1992. He turned to DJing and played all over the UK with much success. After a short hiatus he returned to the scene and threw himself into production focusing on his love of Progressive Trance, with his first release coming in February 2014 with Lost In The East on Transportal Digital. With a new track of his own on the way we are delighted to have Chris on board. Here he sets the tone for a sublime progressive journey as the track intros with a solid driving beat comprising chunky kicks and a smooth pulsating bassline. Rhythmic percussions are applied beautifully as rising synths take us through the layers. Synth pads burst into life and send us on a euphoric ride as the darker beats keep the groove flowing. Melodies weave in and out of the sound creating a refreshing seam on this outstanding cut, a must have for sure.

Next up we have Jakhira's Rework which testifies the skills on offer from this hugely talented artist. A very popular choice at Bonzai as proven with his last effort on Crocy's Recht, Jakhira certainly knows how to get the progressive juices flowing. A nice a smooth intro with percussions leading the way as a deep house chord stabs through. Chunky kicks punch in and the groovy chords begin to weave their magic releasing a purely deep house vibe. The bassline provides the proggy edge to the sound as it cuts a lush swathe through the groove with a little help from beautiful rich pads. The break lets loose with bright melodic sequences to the backdrop of a droning bass as the track builds back up and continuing on its wonderful journey, top notch.

Up next we have Lonely Sun & Nicolas Agudelo on remix duty. The guys recently remixed Alex Vidal - Solar Citadel with much praise coming from many quarters. They are relative newcomers to the Bonzai stable and have already made quite an impression. Deep progressive tones provide the intro with a cool offset bass driving the groove alongside a tight drum arrangement. Melodic flurries cascade throughout in short arp bursts adding smooth textured layers. The break unleashes a euphoric episode as the melodies are enhanced by rich pads leaving you lost in this wonderful slice of prog, top class stuff.

The mid-summer month of August is often reserved for scenic drives and revitalizing trips to the beach. We're thrilled to present "Summer Selections 01", featuring two cuts that perfectly complement these quintessential summer travel experiences. Both tracks on this EP offer warm, euphoric melodies and exhilarating grooves. 

American talent Chomi (a.k.a. Alex Chomik) makes a tremendous debut on our imprint with "She Is", featuring the stunning vocals of Elly. The track centers on a jubilant lead theme and an infectious vocal stab sequence. Elly's vocal first takes hold of the listener at the quarter turn; yet, her lyrics really shine in the main break, where her mellifluous voice and poignant lyrics are supported by a delicate, yet beautiful piano motif. Chomi's layered chords contribute to a thunderous and ecstatic drop.

Swedish label veteran Johan Vilborg offers "Second Wind", one of the standout tracks on "Silk Royal Showcase 04", which arrived earlier this year. Now considered a global star of melodic progressive trance, Johan has consistently written peak-hour cuts that center on inspiring and unforgettable themes. His latest offering features a truly rapturous lead motif, which captures the radiant energy of summer, as well as Johan's own joy, having recently graduated from a prestigious audio engineering academy in his native Sweden.

Blugazer's "Ethereal Concepts," one of our favorites from this year's "Silk Royal Showcase 04" compilation, finally receives a full single release on our parent label, including powerfully emotive interpretations by Shingo Nakamura and Piramex. Based in NYC, Blugazer has generated strong buzz in the international trance & progressive community over the last few years, on account of his intricate, visionary productions. His original version is centered on a gentle groove, while a variety of relaxing and lush melodies are equally entrancing. The instrumental themes are quite memorable, yet the most breathtaking effects are provided by an unnamed female vocalist, whose ethereal voice offers a deep catharsis to the listener.

Veteran star Shingo Nakamura, fresh off a wonderful collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and James Grant on the recent "Anjunadeep 06" release, offers a deliciously deep take in the spirit of the original version. Soothing pads and a buoyant rhythm provide the listener with a floating-on-air sensation, while Shingo's signature chords offer uplifting melodic vibes. In the main break, Shingo's gorgeous piano lines, which beautifully coalesce with the vocal stabs, are a welcome addition to the soundscape.

Rising Russian talent Piramex, who recently won our "Both" remix contest, provides a peak-hour rendering, fueled by a ferocious bassline. As the song crescendoes toward the climax, vocal effects and pad layers are added, creating an aura of suspense. In the main break, a reworked vocal sequence soars above an anthemic bassline progression, while a variety of side melodies fill out the soundscape. The thunderous drop to follow is awe-inspiring.

Here at Perplexity Music, we our extremely proud to introduce our first release on the label after months of waiting. As our aim is to become the pinnacle of melodic progressive house music, what better way than to start it of with a tremendous 4 track EP from the sensational Alex H. The Perth based producer has been climbing up the progressive ladder since 2012 & his remarkable talent can be heard instantly so take a moment to revel in the delight that is music for the soul. 

The first release of the EP, "No Turning Back" is a delectable vocal masterpiece that locks into the core of our emotions & expands in our minds. Comprised  up of tantalizing chords that emit solid & crisp sounds, steady kicks & brilliant melodies, the overall atmosphere is one that is vibrant & striking. The soothing warm vocals provided by Mona Moua blend perfectly with the flow of the production & the deliverance of the thought provoking lyrics are conveyed so beautifully.

Next up in this quality package is another out of this world collaboration & again, with another master of melodies that is Netherland sensation Roald Velden. Also having worked together previously, more prominently on Roald's album, the blend of these talents has earned a great following due to the pure emotion & the top notch effort & time they put into their productions. Prepare to delve into a journey of warm, blissful & magical textures that swoop right in the moment you press play. That's right, it really is that astounding.  With the colorful combination of the melodic elements, the superb heart felt sounds flow freely in a mix up relaxed percussion work & sweet piano lines once again. 

Last but not least is a huge collaboration with the gifted French talent James Woods so you know you’re in for a dynamic experience with "Atitlan". Having worked on the smashing release "Guadalupe" earlier this year, the outcome of what these two producers create is an explosion of luscious sound & this time is no different. Keeping with the gorgeous melody arrangements, the signature sounds of both can be heard so remarkably such as the luring piano lines pressed side by side powerful chord progressions. Add in the subtle female harmonized vocals that tie the production together & you have this easy on the ears, laid back production. 

As well as the 3 magnificent productions,  "No Turning Back" also has a dub version which is the last release on the EP & this is for those that want to create their own moving story in the minds & with the melodic elements like more evident, that'll be easy to get lost into.

For this package, Martin has created two mind blowing productions to tantalize all our senses and he sure does everything to deliver. First up we have the magnificent "Congo", a crisp production that from the moment it is played, you can tell it is going to be an explosive ride packed with haunting melody work that reflects the Congo plains and jungles. Intriguing, beautiful & deep, the sounds of the wild are truly brought to life with the smooth tribal sounds, adding in the sounds of the majestic animal that is the elephant, it blends this piece of heaven together. The multitude of percussions and selective choice of the main melodic hook plays such a substantial part in making this production come to life like a time lapse of the Congolese seasons in our thoughts.

The next phenomenal track in this superb release is titled "Devotion". Taking a spin in the other direction from "Congo", this beauty resonates the subtle elements that we all have as people, the need for being needed, and to be someone that another soul needs. The stunning rich textures of the release is reflected by the use of the stimulating yet powerful chords. gritty percussion use and an energetic atmospheric vibe making it club friendly as well as for individual serenity time.  The breakdown comprised of the heart wrenchingly beautiful piano lines captivates us for the immense energy that follows. He has reached into the depths of a magical journey and has collected all the right sounds, elements & feelings to create this wonderfully constructed piece.

Another rising talent is on the brink of seeing daylight as we have the pleasure to bring on the great talented producer Laniakea to the PHW family. We do believe not to many know about the young Russian producer but we are on the other hand damn sure that a lot of you will know in just a few months time, as he has some crazy good releases lined up for the coming months on various labels. He is setting of with us at PHW with 2 different originals, where the title track goes by the name of “Skyborn”. This is an impressive progressive trance production, that is built through melodic hooks, a great drive as well as deep and serene textures that will bring the best out of this track. 

You will also get 2 remixes on this track, as we see the great talent from Japan, Takaki Matsuda coming back to our imprint. Takaki has been with us for quite a spell now, both on originals and remixes, and here he deliver another forward thinking piece of music to our back catalog. With an uplifting approach built up, with a more progressive house touch being delivered, he once more showcase his skills behind the DAW and builds something exciting for us. 

The 2nd remix comes from an artist bringing fresh blood in to our family as we see a new member taking part with the talented sound designer from India, Dextrose taking part for the first time on PHW. We always feel good being able to push new names on our label and here is one to watch, no doubts on that. With a lovely progressive house touch, packed with flying melodies and over the moon flying sun-drenched vibes, he is bringing on something that will make echoes across the globe. It has a great warm touch, with all that melodic arrangements that we so often seek for, impressive stuff.

On the flipside we see another original shining through, as Laniakea brings his 2nd original on to the release. This one, baptized as “Lost In Time” is another progressive trance stormer that is built with flying melodic arrangements and driving melodies that is to be significative for the young talented Russian. Smooth vies and driving elements is blended and will keep you on your toe tips for the full track.
