Globally acclaimed talent Shingo Nakamura recently released his "Only Silk 02" compilation on parent label Silk Digital, featuring his original track "The Four". On Silk Royal's latest single, we're thrilled to present a new remix of this cut by Sundriver, another of our imprint's most decorated veterans. He has been writing euphoric, often Balearic-tinged progressive for the better part of a decade and looks forward to an exciting 2014, with several standout remixes arriving in the new few months alone. For the second track in the release, we've invited fellow progressive trance craftsman Talamanca, a first-time contributor to Silk, to remix Shingo's classic "Sapporo". Talamanca, like Sundriver, has enjoyed wonderful radio support in his career on some of the world's leading trance-centered radio shows.

Sundriver's remix of "The Four" asserts itself right out of the gate, with a driving rhythm, while uplifting pads and arps begin to infiltrate the mid-range. By the quarter turn, a symphony of melodic elements has conspired to overpower the listener with a lush and emotive soundscape. Yet, the track highlight does not occur until the break, when we are truly swept away by a light breakbeat, coupled with a mellifluous, Ibiza-influenced guitar riff. The stunning drop to follow features all of the melodic layers in harmonic unison.

Dutch talent Talamanca also starts his remix of "Sapporo" in driving fashion. We are soon met by several of the original's most memorable themes. Talamanca succeeds in making this interpretation his own by contributing numerous new variations on the lead motifs, all of which are truly breath-taking. In the main break, a powerful, trance-influenced lead is introduced, giving his take a bit of extra muscle for the dancefloor.

Part of a shift to the deep and tech house arenas, Scotty.A and his "Touching the Void" EP formed a vital part of the Proton Music catalogue in 2015 as the UK producer continued to represent a vital part of the label. Now, seeing a new reimagining of his work, Swedish and Hungarian stalwarts remix "Touching the Void" with outstanding results.

Karl Johan, under his C9 alter-ego production moniker, has made a substantial impression on the underground dance scene. A Swedish producer of renowned talent, work under his own name has found itself allied to a raft of high-profile labels that include Baroque, Mango Alley and Echoes Records. Furthermore, a debut album for Spiral Trax in 2009 spotlighted a future talent. Supported by such leading lights as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and James Harcourt, Johan's work has made significant strides.

Switching to his C9 moniker, Karl Johan has shone a light on a different side of his musical character. Exacting and delicate, a debut remix of Lonya's "Consensus Must" in May 2015 was a signal of intent as his debut original EP, under the C9 name, saw "A1Txi" hit the Proton catalogues toward the end of the year. Full of humility and with an understated approach to naming conventions, the C9 project has always let the music speak for itself. Taking the core themes central to Scotty.A's original work, the C9 remix of "Out in the Boonies" is a beautiful, musical study adding depth, emotion and context through Johan's stunning additional production. Subtle key changes, from the second movement onwards, see the remix evolve elegantly as driving beat, warm bass and filtered riffs keep the delicate energy high.

Gabor Kaszas is a man of considerable renown, developed with impressive consistency through his East Café production pseudonym. A Hungarian at the forefront of the progressive breaks genre alongside fellow countryman Retroid, the East Café name has featured on a host of leading labels. Over a century of production credits have found their way on to a quartet of labels in Mistique Music, LuPS, Clinique and Morphosis Recordings, as Kaszas' maturing progressive house sound has found favour with such luminaries as John Digweed, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo.

A quartet of spellbinding remixes for Particles including reworks of Mononoid's "Lack of Evidence" and Derek Howell's "Interstellar Homecoming", over the past two years, is now supplemented by a debut remix for the flagship Proton Music. Taking the deep house vibe of Scotty'A's original, the East Café interpretation soon brings familiar progressive leitmotifs to the fore. Sumptuous and emotive pads pan delicately across the stereo spectrum as a delightfully elegant arpeggio wends itself effortlessly atop a ticking percussive cadence. A rich, warm bass line keeps the emotion high in a work of genuine skill that underlines the East Café contribution to the underground house movement.

Hitting the heights once again via two exquisite remixes from C9 and East Café, Scotty.A's work finds a new dramatic energy from "Touching the Void".

Quivver has been a constant force in the scene for two decades. He is one of the few that constantly deliver music of the finest quality day in, day out.

Three tracks to drool over here, kicking off with 'Response'. This draws on all of his hallmark sounds. Trippy vocal fx, swaggering percussion, a nasty underlying bassline and stabby synths, and superb melodics, that all culminate in a dance floor gem. Its unmistakable Quivver, and thats why we love it. 

'Call' is a beautiful warmth oozing gem, that sways along full of brightness and feel good vibes, but still with a deeper tinge and plenty of drive. Wait for that synth line... 

And rounding things off, we have the layered gem that is 'What Am I Dreaming?'. Tripped out and dreamy, yet dirty and punchy. This is cool in anybodies book.

So without further ado, lose yourself into these marveling remixes & see which one strikes you the  most!. 

Last but not least, the final of our magnificent line up for the remix EP comes from Ukraine based wonder VIF, who is always upping the level of quality in any release he puts out. It's no different with this mind blowing rendition of the original, this time diverting from the more mellow sounds & reaching full on into that driving & energetic sound this talent is know for. Never lacking a unique twist; you hear the way the original is captured into a more cleaner & vibrant soundscape with the use of the lovely synth work that marks the signature sounds of his work. One that can definitely be used as a dance floor raiser; the sounds sweep through every crack & crevice highlighting the beauty of the layering used. The vocals are amped up to a more alluring twist with the electronic elements that capture the lighthearted side. Crisp & clear percussions enhance that fast paced feeling whilst letting the vocal do their magic with the haunting chops. What a way to finish this remix EP off, the closing palette that has followed with the rest, offering a nice variety for you all to enjoy. 

An EP that is tremendously appealing in every way possible, these artists have delivered something that cannot be replicated in such a manner. First up we the Serbian super producer known to the world as Vintage & Morelli, no stranger to the scene, no introduction needed to describe the sounds that have been formulated by this notable talent throughout the years. His twist on the mellow original takes a visit to the deeper side, making it unbearably intoxicating as each pulse of the sound used climbs into your senses like chocolate melting in a blazing heat. The wonderfully smooth aura is built right away with the thudding percussions masked with the airy chords & pianos melding together. It highlights the sensuous vocals expertly, forming together to create something so blissful that you can’t help but feel yourself being tugged into the wind. The signature piano stabs & subtle kicks drenched with the bass undertones give an upbeat feel, for those that crave the active side. The breakdown using the strings is well suited to increase the momentum of it being launched back into that smooth sailing drive again. What a rendition to start off with & nothing less from the expert talent that has worked magic into this remix.

Next up we have the superbly talented Poland based Sundriver, another that has left his mark with his works in this community for many years. His incredible talent for crafting some of the most tender yet energetic releases is proven once again with this remix, continuing on with a more upbeat feel than the original. You can feel how achingly beautiful this remix is; the chords striking at you instantly, melting into you mind & lifting your aura as the track progresses. This one brings on the images of summer, something we are all waiting for & what a masterpiece to have this as a soundtrack. The perky percussions lift up the atmosphere alongside the elegant melodic sounds floating along the way in a carefree manner. A breakdown that cannot be described in words adds in a surreal feeling of floating with the delicate tones & synths used with the luscious vocals once again. As expected, another outstanding remix by an immensely proficient artist.
