Once again here at Perplexity Music, we are thrilled to be able to deliver a new fantastic free download for all you dedicated listeners! This amazing 2 track EP comes from Keith Harris who resides in Ireland. A flurry of dream like sounds are consistent with these 2 enthralling releases & we are pleased to be able to share them with you. 

The first of the two delectable releases is the beautiful 'Memories', soft, light & absolutely  mesmerizing in its structuring. The heart warming chords signify the purity of the sounds & that mixed in with the equally mellow percussion work speaks wonders in how the sounds reach us internally, a paroxysm of emotions lured right out of us. The well places vocal chops fit perfectly, bringing in a color of summer & a dash of comfort. Memories are a trait that we as humans can savor or wish to forget, the inexplicable nature of it can make or break us & this incredible release is one that will be sure to make anyone seek positivity instantly. 

The second delightful release for you all is the mysteriously titled 'Paradox'. The word itself brings on a bout of wonder, meaning & contradiction. One thing is clear, the thrilling beauty of this track is no question at all. Amazingly well composed piano lines flow dynamically alongside the majestic chord work, formulating tantalizing melodies for us to delve into. The power of each sound will hit you like  thunder, which is then soothed by the lovely padded percussion work, highlighting the softer nature of this sensational production. Life itself is indeed a paradoxical entity but pieces of breathtaking compositions as this just adds in that light that guides us through. 

It was a pleasure for us to be able to share these 2 incredible releases from a producer that can only grow in his talents & the ability of finding those sweet sounds that we all can't escape, nor would we want to that is. For it is music that binds us & our desires as people, for it is unity that brings us out of the darkest moments. Ultimately, for it is the one thing that radiates from our souls. Solid Steel in association with Serato (12th June) In Hour 2 it's a full on 'Robot Funk Mix' from Ed DMX who has been producing music since the mid 90's under a whole host of names including EDMX, Computor Rockers, BBII and most notably as DMX Krew on the Rephlex label. Ed has always mined the furthest corners of electronic music from Acid, Rave, Techno and here, to compliment the new release on his own Fresh Up record label, he digs into 80's electro funk featuring rare gems from Ramsey 2C-3D and Jefferson Ink. Ed had this to say about his mix;
"Seeing as both tracks on the new DMX Krew single "Funk Steps" and "Space Fonk" feature the sound of the vocoder, I thought I'd do a mix of some of my favourite funky robot voice tunes from the past along with some newer ones I made myself.

Silk Royal proudly welcomes Swiss act Dinka to its ranks with a re-release of the anthemic "Lotus", a track that has already witnessed radio support from Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk, Matt Darey, Marcus Schossow, Blake Jarrell, and more. With an unparalleled ability to combine lush melodies, world music samples, and club-killing beats in each and every one of her productions, Dinka has quickly become one of the most sought after producers and DJ's in progressive. This package also features two brand remixes by a pair of fellow progressive heavyweights: Soundprank and Johan Vilborg.

The Original Mix captures the essence of the Dinka sound, which has captivated global progressive audiences for years now. Moody pads, "old-world" instrumental effects (such as an exotic flute), and a light, "teaser" rhythm give the track a suspenseful and evocative introduction. The beat and furious, peak-hour bassline soon arrive, as well as the first of many poignant world music vocal samples; by the quarter turn of the track, we have been transported into a primitive world, reinforced by the many tribal chants and vox effects that punctuate the build of the tune. In the main break, all of these elements are enhanced, and a stadium-filling drum roll and chord-based lead synth progression elicit a hands-in-the-air moment from the listener. The drop to follow is equally awe-inspiring and dancefloor-killing.

Canadian sensation Soundprank, who is recently responsible for a variety of sensational EP's on Anjunadeep, as well as a standout remix of Chicane & Ferry Corsten's "One Thousand Suns", returns to Silk for the first time since his beloved original "Burner" and remix of "Yesterday's Tears." Since we last had the privilege of working with him, Soundprank has perfected the techincal quality and further pushed the boundaries of sound design in his productions. His interpretation here is a pull-no-punches, peak-hour bomb, as it immediately jets out of the gate with a powerful rhythm and inspired new bassline. A quintessentially meaty chord progression fills out the mid-range of the tune, while a variety of arps and atmospheric touches, as per usual, tickle the ear in a way that keeps the track sounding fresh with each new bar. In the break, a delicate, organ-based lead melody is fully solo'ed, followed by a more "epic", buzzy synth rendition of the same melody. A gut-busting drop follows - truly one of the highlights of this exhilarating rendering.

Finally, rising Swedish talent Johan Vilborg, a breakthrough artist on Silk Royal this past year with several top-charting and internationally supported singles and remixes (including "Altara" and "Warmer Days"), offers an uplifting, end-of-summer take. Vilborg's remix features a stunning vocal stab progression, a true artist signature, as well as a a completely re-imagined lead chord progression that is nothing short of euphoric. Fans have drawn similarities between Vilborg and Arty, with their penchant for jubiliant, layered leads, and the inspired melodies on this one prove that Vilborg has earned the flattering comparison. Later on in the tune, the rhythm is given a bit of extra "hop", seemingly inviting the listener to jump along with the dynamic lead.
