Summer Melody marks the return of the US-based melodic talent Souma with his debut track, and the stars watched over us.

Once remixed for Adam Sein (with Lytport) back in 2020, Souma is a talented artist who is a regular over on Emergent Music and have several appearances on Synth Collective. We are glad to welcome him back with this wonderful and melodic track that is perfect for night drive. Providing his own progressive and atmospheric touch to the track, as well as hints of vocals and soaring melodies, this track guides through the starry journey, like the Polaris in the sky as the stars will watch over us.

Feelings of romance and hope imbue the spring months, as well as the music released this time of year. We're thrilled to present three uplifting new cuts by Jallen, Alex Byrka, & Jacqueline, which brilliantly capture the optimistic mood of the spring season.

American phenom Jallen has witnessed extraordinary radio support this past year across the globe. We were thrilled to feature him for the first time on our recent "Only Silk 03" compilation, his contribution to which is now available in full, unmixed form on this release. Specifically, Jallen's soulful remix of Schodt's classic "Angel No. 8" begins with a rolling bassline and a lush, melodic soundscape. The signature vocal stutters from the original mix tastefully punctuate the numerous midrange layers. In the song's heartfelt climax, we are treated to a triumphant breaks interlude, which crescendoes into a roaring drop.

Alex (a.k.a. Alexander) Byrka last appeared years ago on Silk with his stellar contribution to Silk Royal Showcase 02, "She Doesn't Know" (in collaboration with Bianco Soleil). It's our joy to feature him again, as his "Made In Heaven" is a truly rapturous progressive house classic in the making. Gorgeous melodic layers, including an ethereal vocal effect, join an energetic groove. In the main break, a stunning piano theme captures the 'heavenly' aura of the song and helps it reach its emotional zenith.

Like Jallen, Indonesian talent Jacqueline is a first-time contributor to our imprint. She makes an impressive debut with "Rise Up", a vintage progressive house cut that centers on a moody and infectious chord progression. A vocal stab sequence and piano motif enhance the already rich midrange, culminating in an inspired drop.

We have another spiffing release right here on Perplexity Music, the goods being delivered to you by US based producer Orsa, who graced us with a phenomenal free download earlier on the year. 'It's Always Been You' is a superb EP that does nothing but raise the bar of perfection which this talent to watch out for has accomplished so continue on & take in the journey you’re about to go on! 

To start off, we have the original title track 'It's Always Been You', an enigmatic wonder to start off with as the direction it takes is one that exceeds all expectations with the layers of beauty that glows out from the jump. Being pulled in by the warm & sensual chords, you become weak at how incredible & beautiful something could sound, something could exist. Even the most locked up minds can be set free with each passing second of this production, like therapy for the wounded mind. The hope that it isn't the end, that hearts would be reunited after the sublime breakdown sparks up the flames as the heaviness of the melody really sinks in. Pure brilliance, words of the broken hearted could not be conveyed better than in this masterpiece, fuelled by all that makes us human, makes us remain that way till we're reunited with the one we thought was gone. But hope, it doesn't always breed eternal misery, just sometimes, it breeds positive; as this heart wrenching piece that speaks to us in the words of music shows.

With this artistically elaborate original, we are pleased to include 2 quality remixes for a variation; the first coming from Italian super talent Sunlight Project. With this remix, the original is transformed into a more laid back & perkier sounding piece, with more of an influence on the retro electronic use of the various synths that contain the magnificent original melody. The feeling of a happier ending exudes from this rendition as it gives off an unmistakable feel of serenity, as if the usually inevitable parting of two souls meant to be didn’t occur; instead living together in a heavenly comfort. The vibrant textures brings an almost 80's feel but with a modern twist thus creating something that sounds pleasant & inviting. Succumbing to an absolute divine piano breakdown really pushed on the sweetness of the melodic hooks before jumping back into the feel good synth filled finale, the final part of the story, the last joining puzzle.

Once again, Orsa delivers his utmost best & provides us with a yearning for those incredible sounds of pure radiating melody drizzled productions that are further enhanced by the outstanding contributions from the remixers. There really is nothing more raw & untouchable than the feeling of love & loss & to be able to dictate that in ways that music can portray the story in is a feat itself. Whatever the situation is, wherever you may be & whatever the outcome, things happen for a reason, despite our preference but as long as inspiration, emotion & love exists, there will always be something to comfort us & this EP, is one of many things that can be our safety net. Five years ago, we were introduced to the music of American composer Dan Sieg, who, at the time, was producing under the banner of "Dan & Sam." There are typically only a few newcomers to our musical niche each year who completely awe us with their talent; Dan was truly one of those artists. The demo in question was "Breaking The Illusion," which we ultimately released in October 2012. It quickly became a fan favorite that year and remains one of our most beloved releases, in our label's decade-long existence.

Flashing forward to the present: we have now had the privilege of working with Dan on numerous releases. Choosing to use his given name and surname, "Dan Sieg," in recent years to showcase his eclectic, distinct, and always visionary brand of electronic music, he has now released an artist album with us ("A Sense Of Wonder"), as well as various EPs, ranging in genre from drum & bass to progressive house. It's our great privilege to showcase his wonderful musical contributions to our imprint via "Dan Sieg / Dan & Sam 01," an artist retrospective.

Shores regular Andrew Lang teams up with Poland-based producer Bee Hunter once more for a lovely double-sided release in the form of the new 'Divers EP'.

'Divers' starts things off in a nice, easy-going style with rolling percussion and pumping chord plucks that unleash a sweet progression which sets the bed for cool guitar-like counter melodies and great, unique vocal chops. A dreamy, piano-laced breakdown offers a moment of serene tranquillity before heading back into the floaty main section. 'Home Board' features slinkier drums and a warm, emotional theme which is enhanced beautifully by smooth strings and dancing synth melodies.
