Asaf Sirkis is a drummer/composer/educator living in London (originally from Israel). He is known for his solo work as well as many collaborations with various Jazz, world and rock artists such as; Dave Holland, Jacob Collier, Tim  Garland, Gwilym  Simcock, Larry Coryell, Jeff Berlin, John Abercrombie, Bob Sheppard, Norman Watt-Roy (off the Blockheads), Wilco Johnson, Soft  Machine, Robert Wyatt, Natacha Atlas, Dave  Liebman, David Binney, Gary Husband, pianist John Taylor, Norma  Winstone, Kenny Wheeler, Andy Sheppard and many more.

I play and write for my Metal project: Amattr, so this is technically the official Amattr soundcloud. However, I'll also be uploading other stuff. Prophet of the Void is my solo instrumental project. Three Little Words is my Atmospheric/Post-Rock/Drone project, and Vidarr the Terrible is my solo work...which will be weird.

Hello and welcome to my Sound Cloud site.  All of the music on my site is original and composed and performed by either my high school students or myself.  The music is recorded and produced completely in house.  Through the process we are learning how to write music and to better learn the art of production... It has been a real educational ride...  After listening to our music, I would hope you would notice that all of the songs have a least a component of inspiration.  That is that they are all inspired by the Holy Spirit, often through the Psalms. 

 I teach (mostly mathematics) in a Christian school in Hong Kong.  However, I have also been very privileged to have the opportunity to develop a Bible class dedicated to prayer, Psalm reading and the composition of music.  My aim through this class is to give students the opportunity to know their creator in a more intimate way, through prayer, His Word and creating music.  I do believe that when we are creative, we are being like our great and Almighty Creator in  heaven.  

Please enjoy the music but also know that our heart is not necessarily to produce professional sounding music but to create opportunities for the students at my  school to grow in faith and creativity.  We enjoy the process of writing recording and producing and are trying to "raise the bar" all the time to improve the process...
