Hot Digits Musics annual compilation has arrived just in time for the summer! As usual it’s another all EXCLUSIVE dive into the world of underground disco, Balearic house, slo-mo burners and deep chugging vibes. From the yacht rock stylings of Shalvoy building up with deep grooving slo-mo from Even Funkier, Ben Jamin and Pete Ellison taking us into nu-disco territory with new tracks from stalwarts Andy Buchan and Stephen Richards. Hot Digits also welcomes some superb work from DJ Laurel, Mannix, Prisma Deer, Ben Banjo-Field, Solazz and Lup Ino alongside staple contributors Fingerman, Ian Upfold, Chewy Rubs, Fray Bentos, GMGN, Groovemasta and Down Under Disco along with some old faces making their return to the label with JB Dizzy, Raw Artes, Pete Le Freq, Oldchap and P-Sol all in residence. Deep action from Jisco Dazz, Dexter Jones, Sauco and some Frankie Knuckles inspired lushness from Juan Moreno before ending the compilation with jackin disco house bangers from Brightons enormously talented Barney Osborn and regular on the scene C. Da Afro. Jet Boot Jack then collaborates with Barry Isaacs and Deemas J for the huge Groove Armada esque reggae house monster that closes the compilation in fine style!

We've had a scorcher of a show on Bank Holiday Sunday... first up it was our beloved MartinMax. When Martin isn't making us laugh with his silly sense of humour he is a respected DJ and radio host from Sweden. He currently hosts on Hot to the Touch with Discoholic Ken and Ezirk. Martin has excellent taste and we're always excited to see what gems he has for us.

Our special guest this week was the fabulous Vickie Vibe. We can't believe that Vickie has been right under our noses all along. Vickie has been a professional club DJ for over 25 years,  playing disco, house & soul. She is regularly found at the likes of The Invicta Bar,  Prince of Wales (POW) and  many bars & festivals in and around Margate. Her set is a superb blend of original disco and other lush grooves... we know you're gonna love it!

The Black Light Disco Show was back on the my houseradio.fm airwaves - lashing on the waterproof Factor 50 on those easily burned bits and popping up the BLD parasol to put other shows in the shade. 

For this week’s show we have a dream team pairing to compliment the gorgeous sunshine and ease you into the week ahead. As we’ve temporarily vacated BLD Towers and set up operations in our luxury cabana on the west coast, Goz and Cole Kutz will be slipping on the espadrilles, tasteful pastel shirts and Bermuda shorts to bring you a sun-drenched two hours of hazy, lazy grooves. 

First up is Goz with a perfectly pitched slow-mo set that will make you feel all melty (and maybe even sexually exhausted). You know summer is almost here when Goz gets his groove on like this. Sultry, summery and sexy - and that’s just his underwear. 

For the second hour the one and only Cole Kutz continues the summer cook-out, taking on you on an eclectic journey of self-discovery and existential purpose. This is a side of Cole we rarely (if ever) hear on the airwaves - and it’s an absolute masterclass in world building and soundscaping. Cole Kutz at Cafe Mambo? You betcha.

My guest this week is Paul Rowe, who has been a resident of NDC radio for almost 4 years, broadcasting every Sunday between 4pm and 6pm, spinning his unique brand of funky disco.

Paul has been DJing for 25 years, and played at ADE Amsterdam Dance Event) for the last two years and will be DJing in Cyprus at the ASK Festival this month. Paul has kept his love of vinyl alive through his radio shows, and owns over 10,000 records. His mix is entirely vinyl (apart from one digital track)

Black Light Disco With Fingerman: June 2023

London-based DJ and producer Pete Ellison has been spinning music for 25 years and has a passion for funk and disco, blending sounds of the 70s with house beats, vocal samples and chunky basslines.

He broadcasts a weekly show on NDC Radio called the "Feel Good Friday Show", with a special guest each week from the Nu-Disco world. The show won the award of "Best Radio Show" at the OGV Music Awards in 2022. 

He's had releases on Super Spicy Records, Discoholics Anonymous, Mango Sounds, Spa In Disco and Hot Digits. Two of his tracks have hit the Number 1 spot on Juno Download.  

He runs a London DJ collective called Serendipity who throw underground events and boat parties. He has played at dozens of London clubs,  and has played at festivals, boat parties, woodland raves, Ibiza pool parties and even the dungeon of a French chateau. Long DJ sets are a speciality, with his longest ever DJ performance being an epic 8-hour set.


Pete is also part of The Disco Waltons, a group of International DJs and Disco Lovers who came together during lockdown through their love of music. They host a Sunday night show on NDC Radio, playing on rotation with special guests

As well as Funk, Soul and Disco, he plays Melodic Techno, House and Progressive House
