Almost all of this album was recorded in Krystal's home in North Georgia. She finally finished her studio in what she dubbed her Hobbit home, built on a ridge covered by her landscape to create her private world. She added extra bedrooms for the other band members and visitors. Some songs also contain quotes from the book Elizabethan Lyrics, edited by Norman Ault. This album starts with a revealed secret that Krystal figured out first after digging through some legal papers left by her father and mother in a mysterious box. Her father could not have children after serving in Afghanistan, so Emma's father volunteered to donate to the cause through a fertilization clinic. So, Krystal and Emma are half-sisters. The album goes through a set of emotional songs about traveling and dealing with lingering emotional issues for each of them before focusing on the year's closing months and the mysteries each one brings.

I have always loved music. I grew up surrounded by music and sounds. I play the French horn and studied that at UGA and the Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music. I started composing when I was in my 20s but stopped as I raised my two children. After my father passed away, I came back to creating music mostly for symphonic bands, but I also composed a bit for choir and orchestra. I am an avid gardener and rosarian. I still teach music.
