What a smorgasbord of hard dance styles THIS turned out to be--enough different flavors that it can't really be defined by any one genre (thus the choir of tags listed for this track.)  

Oh, how SO VERY Interbay.  

What ISN'T "so very Interbay" is the vaguely political content of the lyrics.  And, by "vaguely" political, I think it is pretty clear in what direction these lyrics are a pointed response towards (I mean, I live in Seattle...by choice--my politics should be pretty obvious.)  However, there's not a specific person or group that is mentioned by name, nor are specific issues that are the target of my concerns in the words of this track.  

And, on top of that, the words are either vocodered or Auto-Tuned.    

I've never been one to seriously push my political beliefs with any of my creative pursuits--I think others who do are much better suited for that role than I could ever be.  I am more about expressing myself creatively than I am at (probably ineffectively) trying to change the world.  

So, why did I bother to present some vaguely political lyrics in this track?  Well, one of the sounds you'll hear is a color bass sample--and the creator of that particular sample named that sample "hated stunted."  (If you had to come up with names for hundreds (or more) samples that you're putting into sample packs and posting online...eventually, descriptive words will give way to names that sound like they were crafted by a random generator.)  

...and those are the words I chose to name the "work in progress" project file, which I've noticed tend to be embraced by me when later searching for a direction to take the track.  

"Hateful and Stunted" is a powerful statement, and I tried to make the sounds of the track nasty, aggressive, and resilient...even if the words are less pointed than the sounds.  

So, unless you're actually pictured in the thumbnail (and even that has been processed to be nearly unrecognizable), I think you'll enjoy this Interbay track--and, at the very least, you should give it a listen.
