Ramiroquai, is one of the DJs and producers from Cali, Colombia, influenced by genres such as jazz, funk, soul, and hip hop. His style is similar to the sound of Germany, the United Kingdom, and New York of the 90s. Ramiroquai excels in genres like House, Deep House, and Acid House.

In the 11 years of his career as a DJ, he has managed to play in the most recognized events and festivals such as BUMBAYÉ, Central Sound, and The Zoo festival in Cali, Video Club, Odem, and Baum in Bogota, and Salón Amador In Medellín. He has also managed to share stages with renowned artists such as:

"The mix was put together with the image of soundtracking a good night in, from dinner to downtime to dance, without straying too much beyond 120bpm. We are bracing for another storm here in Leeds, so the attraction is to stay inside rather than venture to a bar or club. That's the mood that inspired this really.

It was recorded over the course of a late evening with two turntables and a few piles of records dotted about the living room in keeping with the vibe of the other mixes in the series, but also straying into dubby, housey tunes that are always too tempting not to involve."

If you were looking to shine a light on an essential element of Bianca Scout’s Sunday Mix, the most obvious choice would be her voice.

Over the course of 75-odd-minutes, it’s this instrument – glitchy here, wispy there, haunting throughout – that the London-based musician and choreographer uses to guide you through songs from her catalogue thus far, from unreleased edits to forthcoming work via music from her latest release, 'The Heart of the Anchoress'. In anticipation of our next event at Shelter with Margaret Dygas, we would like to share with you a little nostalgia inducing souvenir from our previous event with Ricardo Villalobos. Our very own Reiss had the challenging task of setting the mood during the opening hours of night that so many were looking forward to. Slowly building up the vibe and tension in the room, while anticipation for the appearance of our guest of honour was gradually progressing towards its apex. Brother in beats Ferro upped the levels during his set and when Ricardo finally appeared in the booth, the energy in the room was electrifying before the man even played his first record. The rest is history.
