Low end frequencies out of Berlin.

We’re extremely happy to welcome producer and musician Florian T M Zeisig into the fold for Theory Therapy 44. 

From the club-adjacent frequencies on Coatcheck to the vibroacoustic therapy of Music for Parents (an album I listen to on a weekly basis), Florian creates conceptual ambient music like few other artists. He’s released music on the likes of Anòmia, Constellation Tatsu, Métron and enmossed, and has a new album out soon with Forest Management called Clips of Perspective which we're very excited to hear more of. 

His Theory Therapy mix is a heady collage of shifting tempos and styles with lots of low end goodness peppered throughout. “I wanted to kinda focus on just having fun in the moment, staying close to the journey.”

Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community:
take the time to think about what you really want to do with your work, and pursue it unapologetically. but as you get more and more from the community, think about what you're doing to pay it back by supporting and uplifting others. try to learn when to make sacrifices in your commitments/presence in the community for your artmaking, homemaking, and personal wellness. try to learn when to do the opposite. show up for your friends and the people who inspire you. it's never the wrong time to take a beat, consider how you're taking up space, and consider the effect you have/could have on the people around you. if you don't get booked too often, always show up early and stay late when you do. whatever you do, hold yourself accountable to push your craft as far as you possibly can - all of us doing that is what keeps the community alive.

𝙡𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 w CCL #9 Cape Fear: A Trip to the Darkside of UKG @refugeworldwide

CCL (@ccl-url) has many tricks and plenty of surprises up their sleeve. London-born, US-bred but now Berlin-based, they are playful in what they play but serious about how they play it, whether that's head spinning 160bpm cut, "cowgirl-breaks or wiggle steppers." The key for this multidisciplinary artist and former New Forms festival curator is to find the similarities and differences between shades of sound and rhythm and exploit them to spellbinding effect. As a producer, they are no different and have always managed to find fresh in-between sounds on labels like Fever AM and Discwoman. 

The singular DJ steps up this week with almost two hours of pure sonic adventure. It's a perfect showcase of how they can soundtrack imaginary worlds from humid future jungles to robot dances in the sky. You'll hear rhythms you could never imagine and contort your body in impossible ways, all while admiring the dexterity of the DJ who has threaded together such a trippy trip.
