Belgian techno architect and Mixmag's October 2018 cover star Amelie Lens gears up to deliver the third release on her freshly minted LENSKE imprint, 'Basiel'. Named after her godchild, the three-track EP is loaded with tumultuous timbres and stormy tones that make for destructive dancefloor behavior.

Ahead of the EP's release on November 23, Amelie Lens has shared the EP cut, 'Energize'. A track that does exactly what it calls itself, the fierce rhythm of the tune's drums in conjunction with Lens' permeating mantra urges clubland revelers to bring more power to their enviorment.

Premiere: Amelie Lens 'Energize'

If ever a label was to officially let the cat out of the bag it’s Pets. So here goes…
Polymod, the anonymous producer who emerged on Dusky’s 17 Steps earlier this year with the piano-rippled ‘No Other’, is actually longstanding, genre-smelting machine meddler Shadow Child. Suspected by few, the technoid polymath’s analogue signature is scorched down to the last 909 kick. Now, fully ousted, he returns with a whole clutch of Polymod crunchers to see the year out on Catz ’N Dogz respected musical menagerie. 
Three tracks deep, each telling their own chapter in the release’s own neat narrative; ‘Lost’, ‘Found’ and ‘Searching’ all smack with stone cold machine funk dynamics. ‘Lost’ hurls us into the dense melee where rolling chubby toms, a lolloping bassline and the 909 hi hats that have galvanised an entire movement just keep hitting, layering, twisting and turning in a timeless warehouse demolishing way. ‘Found’, meanwhile, kicks through the debris with sinewy 303 vapour trails, all minimal, mean and acidic, sit back and watch as it sizzles in and out of another ageless Roland drum workout. 
‘Searching’ provides closure between the two ‘Lost / Found’ poles. An emotional curveball that becomes more heartfelt as the track progresses; when the heavens open and those synths come showering down you’ll understand. From the liberation of being ‘Lost’ to the vital excitement of being ‘Found’, it’s often the ‘Searching’ that leaves the strongest impression. 
Three trips we can all identify with courtesy of a new alias we can now all identify… With a remix due imminently on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave, too, Polymod’s only just warming up his machines. Stay tuned…

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

Intec welcomes back Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink who with this EP are making their sixth collaborative appearance on the label, and together they have also joined forces for EPs on Bush Records, Phobiq and MB Elektronics along with Drumcomplexs own Complexed Records.

Each of the guys also boast solo careers outside of their collaborative project, with Drumcomplex doing solo releases for OFF Recordings, Silver M, Unrilis and Different Is Different Records. He has also collaborated with the likes of Klaudia Gawlas and Frank Sonic for releases on Sleaze and Traum.

Roel Salemink has also provided solo EP's to labels such as Gynoid Audio, Deeperfect and Jeton Records. He has also collaborated with other artists including Frankyeffe, Steve Mulder, and Microvibez for joint tracks released via imprints including KD Music and Loose Records.

Meteor as its title suggests, comes down to earth with a crash and has a building energy that hits with impact. Its twisted vocal sample and bubbling acid-line increase the tension that ramps up with increasing momentum, and the hypnotic groove comes ever closer to its final collision aimed directly at the dance floor.

Keeping the intergalactic theme alive Where Is The Moon is the deeper of the two cuts, and the rippling euphoria of the lead synth has a soothing sound that contrasts with the intensity of the percussion that surrounds it. Intelligent techno full of personality, this distinctive track has an understated sound that when it comes to DJ sets, could fit into a variety of different styles.
