And the Black Loops phenomenon continues… Fresh from a whole slew of killer releases this year on the likes of Happiness Therapy, Neovinyl, Madhouse and Smile & Stay High, the Berlin-based Italian return to Pets with this almighty four-piece that runs their entire groove gamut.
The long-awaited follow-up to their evergreen ‘For The Lovers’ EP in 2017, once again they not only tick every box but tickle every inch of your music-addicted soul. Easing us in gently with a little cosmic UKG, ‘Gwei Lo’ is a two-step teaser with all the magic we’ve come to know and love Black Loops for. Deeper again we rifle through the styles like 12”s in a dusty crate… ‘Unity’ keeps the garage theme but with much more of New York or New Jersey style vibe, especially in those epically thudding kicks. ‘Keep A Secret’ is just beautiful deepness with shades of Europe and the West Coast. Somewhere between Ian Pooley and Hipp-E & Halo in a state of perpetual sunset.
Last but not least, we hit ‘Born In The 80s’. Don’t be fooled by the title, this ain’t no nostalgic throwback; it’s another timeless slab of deep house heaven where the era is referenced beautifully in the gentle, dreamy but insistent melody that folds and pleats so majestically over the top, it’s one of those tunes that really does make you forget where you are and what era you’re in. Here comes a new BLACK LOOPS EP including remixes by munich based COEO and Neovinyl’s CARLO. They go smooth this time. Rhodes pianos, some jazzy chords, a rolling beat.
The two guys know how to make a swinging loop. And they got style. No wonder as one is a funk drummer - Riccardo - who lives in Berlin and the other - Gabriele - makes his money as a photographer living in Milan. Every two months they meet in Riccardo's studio space in Berlin Kreuzberg and jam for a few nights and days. Doing new tracks, mixtapes, loops. Djing in local bars and clubs.

This week we gonna have the pleasure to release the first solo of Thabo Getsome on the label. The Berlin based producer has delivered a raw house oldschool tech infected EP that will smash any solid and dark dancefloor.
To complete the package we have added two dope remixes from Lapsus family's friend producer Ruben Mandolini and  Berlin based italian duo Black Loops.   Enjoy!

With a bond like no other, DJ/Production duo and label heads, Catz ‘n Dogz announce their fourth studio album ‘Friendship’. Starting out as close friends, the pair have risen to critical acclaim, leaving a lasting impression on the electronic music community. 
With friendship as one of the main components to their success, their forthcoming album presents a warming and emotional journey, channeling the intricacies of friendship and relationships.
Setting the tone for what is to come, @catzndogz release the forthcoming-album track ‘New Love’ alongside a series of remixes. Celebrating new possibilities and challenges that come throughout life, ‘New Love’ sees rumbling break-beat and euphoric synth lines layered with an uplifting piano loop, underpinning the track. The first remix, a Club Mix of the original, taking things down a darker path with rolling percussion from the get-go. The original piano chords transformed into deeper synth sounds, whilst injecting bursts of the original vocals.
@runningback label-head, Gerd Janson, adds his signature touch to the track. Keeping elements of the original piano chords, he cuts up the vocals with addition of dreamy synths, bringing the track into a new dimension. Finally, @andreaoliva kicks off his edit with pounding bass, before introducing the euphoria-
inducing original piano chords and diving into a cosmic melodic breaking down.

At the forefront of the dance music landscape, DJ/Production duo and label heads, Catz ‘n Dogz are well and truly in the driver’s seat of their musical journey. With the release of their fourth studio album upcoming, they now release the second album track ‘There’, along with a series of remixes. 

Inviting a band of close friends and like-minded peers to collaborate on ‘Friendship’ LP, album track ‘There’ sets the tone for what is to come in the full forthcoming project. Featuring the captivating vocals of James Yuill, whom has a five-year working relationship with Catz ‘n Dogz, we hear talents on both sides work in perfect unison to create a warming, sun infused track. Yuill’s voice glides over the rolling percussion and synth lines of Catz ‘n Dogz, with the addition of Flamenco inspired guitar riffs injecting the sun. 

Kompakt co-founder Michael Mayer steps up on the rework, taking the track down a gentle and dreamlike path. Slowing things down, he keeps the original vocals with the addition of chimes, that glisten throughout. Contrastingly, Berlin based Terr opens her remix with plummeting kicks and bright synth melodies, transforming the track into a club ready version. 

As a pre-cursor to the fast approaching release of ‘Friendship’, Catz ‘n Dogz also unveil the album track listing in full ahead of 29th March. Showcasing the true array of friends and likeminded peers included in the project; James Yuill from ‘There’ appears alongside ZENSOFLY, Kiddy Smile, Polish rapper Taco Hemingway and Copenhagen’s WhoMadeWho to name only but a few.

Hottrax hosts Italian producer Aiuko’s debut release ‘Culture’, featuring two rhythmic club cuts. 

One half of White Brothers alongside his brother, Francesco Bianco has released on high calibre labels like Little Helpers, Moan and Deeperfect, as well as performed across Europe including Spain, Slovenia, Sicily and the UK. Under his new solo moniker Aiuko he now joins Hottrax, following appearances by POPOF, 9th House, Max Chapman and Jamie Jones himself. 

‘Culture’ combines oscillating frequencies with an acid tinged bass groove, crispy percussion and swaying synths. Finishing, ‘Choke’ explores the inkier side of house with a mystical sound palette, white noise effects and clashing keys.

His most varied and cosmic collection to date, we kick off with ‘Feel That Way Again’, a track that keeps on paying with different additional musical layers and star-gazing twists right until the eight minute finale.
