As I came to the studio one day, I set a goal to start a new track and finish it before midnight, just to see what happened. And so Lowrider was born!

The Lowrider also got a marvelous treatment from the Nowegian disko legend Prins Thomas! I cannot describe the honor and I wanted to set the bar properly for Storkenland and Prins delivers this 9 minute fjård journey through the gates of Storkenland. I love it.

Casiopepe is the lovechild of two good old friends of Pets and you are welcome to treat yourself to a tasty dish from their recipe book. This is no pasta, mind you, but a zesty mix of Euro-house grooves and addictive hooks, sure to please the synth-loving and the disco-crazed among us.

Although Euphoriac EP is only coming after last year's releases on Jaki Records and Dom Trojga, it actually contains some of Casiopepe's earliest recorded material. Put simply, this is the very music that made everyone around fall in love with the project in the first place, while also winning their pure hardware live show slots at Rex Club and Akasha Festival.

The title track is a masterful statement of purpose, an irresistible piano-led tune that just keeps on building, while Moustache to Moustache displays the duo's love of melody and a knack for quirky drum programming - even more evident in the essential Bonus Beat version. To top things off, disco dons Tiger & Woods deliver an arpeggiated remix of Euphoriac that tones things down a little, while lending it some unmistakable eleganza romana.

Reuniting on record for the first time since 2015, The Rhythm Odyssey & Dr. Dunks arrive on Phantasy with a double-barrel delivery of legitimate weirdo disco, ‘El Cid’. The much loved and highly sought after Hot Toddy Remix of Never Gonna Reach Me is finally getting a long overdue vinyl repress from the original masters and artwork. It’s no exaggeration to say that NGRM has become a bona fide disco classic since its first release that has stood the test of time.  Crazy P band member Chris Todd took the original version from the band’s Stop, Space, Return album and remixed it up for the dance floor adding disco drums, rhodes keys and arpeggiated synth sequences. On the flip side there is another sublime remix from Still Going, the New York duo best known for their output on DFA. All in all an absolutely essential addition to any record collection...

Following his debut on Phantasy earlier in 2019, Joshua James returns to the label with ‘Journeys In Love’, complimented by a propulsive remix from Joe Goddard.

Flipping the ruthless sleaze and hi-NRG of ‘Coarse’ on its head, the XOYO and Rinse FM resident presents a release that soundtracks the deeper, more vulnerable and always joyous aspects of London’s queer nightlife culture.

‘Journeys In Love’ lands with immediate effect, building steadily and confidently around a trippy sample and the hugely pleasurable push-and-pull of James’ synths. Breathing deeply and suspended in red-light, James’ new production tastefully recalls the late-hour, sensual attitude classic NYC deep house, while transmissions of a bottom-heavy bass weight anchor the track in the capital’s defiant after-hours scene. As a digital exclusive, the Super Drama remix utilises skittering percussion and cymbal rushes to drive things forward, dissolving with a playful acid coda.

Needing little introduction, Hot Chip and Two Bears co-founder Joe Goddard delivers a soaring and complementary reinterpretation of ‘Journeys In Love’, one built on halcyon, analogue sounds and further bathed in ecstasy and melancholy.
