This track was a nightmare to get finished and is basically the most Frankenstein collab ever - everything from project tempos being off by fractions of BPM to random source files being panned off-center - but it was definitely worth it, and we feel like we pulled out all the stops in making this feel like an epic koto music battle - like something out of a Japanese anime. Almost everything you hear from the string plucking to knuckle/wood percussion is koto with the exception of obvious additions like the flute, kick drum, and bass guitar that come later as the song progresses. This will be ear candy to those who have really good earphones/headphones - tons of detail and lots of frills, scratches, sub-melodies the more closely you listen. Funny thing is this probably has more influence from psytrance music like DNA (ie Angel Dust has that plucky sound), so it's like if you took that and merged it with something like East Wind / Uttara-Kuru. Koto Breaker (Waterflame vs pftq)

Chaotic, over-the-top plucky guitars with tons of scratches/scrapes and lots of ear candy! This one is mainly Waterflame doing the drums and pftq playing the guitar as if it were a koto, although there are obvious moments where styles converge. In some ways a spiritual successor to the Koto Breaker song (or a warmup to Koto Breaker 2). Some inspiration from Osamuraisan for how much plucking and scraping his guitar has.

We couldn't agree on the ending, so Waterflame also has an alternate, more electronic/rock-ish version on Spotify/Bandcamp!

Guitar Chronicle (Waterflame vs pftq)

Japanese flute and koto music inspired by the hichiriki in Silent Hill f's trailer! pftq actually has a real hichiriki he plays, so we weren't going to let that one go! We ended up pulling elements from all the collab tracks we've been making this year - Koto Breaker, Anime Medley, Guitar Chronicle, etc with this one taking a much more eastern/new-age/Uttara-Kuru feel than any we've done so far.

Very niche even for goa-trance listeners, so huge warning upfront - this is strictly what appeals to me personally (tons of plucky sharp sounds, million details all around).
