Working towards Nirvana

Sometimes pressures in life get too much to bear,
Need to find a restful outlet.
Deep in the woods I find a peaceful haven,
Uplifts my soul for just a day,
Long way from Nirvana.

You may think I am weak, have no backbone,
I beg to challenge that assertion,
I know spiritually I’m stronger,
Mental strength my fortitude,
Faint hope of Nirvana.
 
Snow falls gently, all around us
Followed by the blizzards of winter,
Icicles lazily suspended from the branches,
Trapped here in my solitude,
Solitude, solitude
 
Several years have passed since we last parted,
Nirvana seemed a long way away,
But I have met someone else to love me,
She and I read from the same page,
Closer now to Nirvana.
 
Summer rays, happiness surrounds me,
Our two souls intertwined,
A tiny child brings such joy and wonder,
Minds focused on someone else needing you,
Needing you.
 
Share with others all the good that you feel,
As you work towards Nirvana,
Find your ideal partner,
Give them all the love you can,

For I have found Nirvana.

Towards Nirvana

I have always loved music. I learnt piano as a child and have dabbled with guitar without ever learning it ... until now! I have been in choirs most of my life but have not really delved into making music until the last few years. After initially playing around with Garage Band, I moved on to Logic Pro and that's how nearly all of my music has been produced.

I use digital software, guitar and keyboards to produce my original music. I compose and edit using Logic Pro. Other people's vocals or collaborative vocals for any track really are very welcome! 

I love the interaction on Soundcloud and the comments from other musicians and composers are so helpful and supportive. Keep making music everyone!
