Amadeusz Małkowski, better known by his artist name Madis, is a Krakow-born Polish composer and electronic music producer characterized by modern sounds combined with the sounds of "old school electronica”.

His musical jurney began in 2015, when he remixed the main theme from Interstellar movie composed by Hans Zimmer in a intensely electronic style with elements of trance music. The next step was single Desert of Lost Souls - this time inspired by the sounds of Jean-Michel Jarre - three years later remixed by legendary trance producer Alex M.O.R.P.H. This remix has been presented several times in one of the most popular radio shows, A State Of Trance, hosted by Armin van Buuren.

On July 20, 2019, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, the track Carrying The Fire had its premiere, which was also a preview of Madis's debut album - Sea of ​​Tranquility. Carrying The Fire was very well received by the audience and to this day it has been listened to over 7 million times. The single also became part of the legendary In Search Of Sunrise 16 compilation mixed by Giuseppe Ottaviani.

In September 2019, Madis was a guest at the opening ceremony of the European Rover Challenge and with his electronic music concert, he honored the 50th anniversary of the first people on the Moon with songs specially composed for this occasion.

In March 2020, Madis released his debut album Sea of ​​Tranquility, inspired by the Silver Globe. Seven tracks recorded in a continuous sequence make up an electronic story about a man's journey to the Moon, taking the listener into modern soundscapes and melodic sequences. Also in 2020, the EP Hometown was released, inspired by Amadeus' hometown - Krakow. You can hear fragments of the bugle call of St. Mary or the sounds of ironworks. The EP was released in a limited series, on an orange vinyl symbolizing the setting sun.

In April 2022, Madis released his second studio album Sail, where you can hear many musical experiments - from catchy, rhythmic melodies, through dark sequences, to elements of film and even rock music. The album also features the voice of the Italian singer Kyrah Aylin and the guitar sounds of Polish guitarist Jacek Królik.

On August 18, 2023, Madis' third studio album was released, which is a continuation of Sea of Tranquility. This time the goal of the musical journey is the planet Mars as the next step in human space exploration. The release titled Plains of Elysium contains seven songs and, in addition to the digital edition, is also available on CD and vinyl.

In September 2023, Madis performed at four concerts in Poland - Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań and Wrocław, presenting tracks from the upcoming album combined with older compositions.

From hearing Oxygene as a child I have always been fascinated by synths and the creation of sound. Inspired by the visual imagery conjured by this and the "Snowflakes Are Dancing" album by Tomita (a series of covers of Debussy pieces) I've endeavoured to recapture the feeling and impact of discovering that music for the first time. I have been creating my own synth based music since I was 16 when I was able to purchase a synth workstation which allowed me to record it. As technology has progressed its enabled access to more kit and allowed me to experiment and refine my own style. Also as a keen photographer the visual element to my creativity means I greatly enjoying films in the sense of the filmography where sound and vision are combined and the likes of the original Bladerunner was a keen influence. As too such other soundtracks that can be equally evocative. I hope that others will enjoy my music in the same way.

Experimental electronic artist. Started composing aged 13 when I had a Casio MT45, Casio VL1, and an Omnichord, with some programmed bass patterns courtesy of a Commodore VIC20. When I earned some money I bought a Kawai K4, Roland S10, Korg Poly 800, Yamaha DX7s, Roland TR505 and connected them all via MIDI to a Commodore Amiga 1500 running "Music X".  
Some years later, subsequent additions to the line-up came in the shape of a Roland JV1080, Korg Wavestation SR, and Novation Bass Station. Sold everything early 1995 to finance a working holiday in Australia. 
Resumed musing making in 2002 going back to basics with a Sony Playstation running "Music" and a desktop PC running "Dance eJay 4". By 2006 a new line-up rose featuring a Yamaha DX220 Piano, Edirol PCR50, Korg M1R, Kawai K1r, Roland VariOS, Korg Radias, Novation Remote Zero, Connected via USB to a laptop running FL Studio 4.
Now I make all my music using the Laptop, with FL Studio 10, a mountain of VST plug-ins, a Korg Kaossilator, a Samsung Galaxy S and an iPod Touch.

I'm a self-taught keyboard/ piano player (+ a bit of guitar) but have never been that great at the performance side.
I started writing my own material in the 80s and through the early 90s but then life caught up with me and I have been mostly dry since then. I've had a few dabbles in the intervening years and have an open, "I'm going to get back to it soon", motto.
In the meantime I'm dumping some of my older stuff here so I can point people at it.
