Another quick and short composition to satisfy my creative urges while I'm still working on my longer, more elaborate orchestral piece.
I quite like the outcome and I think it's worth sharing.

The Ice Cage

The Ice Cave

The free "Irish Harp" from Native Instruments inspired me to compose this little piece. I was looking forward to using the "Shire Whistle" from Embertone for quite a long time and this has been the perfect opportunity.

A Dance in the Meadows

This composition is a musical story about the foundation of Togakure-ryū, the legendary Ninjutsu school, in 1162. 
I wrote it as a soundtrack for a live show performed last weekend at the 40 year anniversary of Buyukai Germany.
It contains the following scenes:
0:00 - the battle „Awaze no Kassan“ where Nishina Daisuke, the later founder of the school, fights on the losing side
0:36 - Daisuke leaves the battlefield broken and defeated
1:20 - Daisuke is chased by his opponents and has to flee
2:15 - after a successful escape, Daisuke explores the mystic and majestic mountains of Iga
3:49 - Kain Dōshi, a warrior monk who has covertly observed Daisuke, reveals himself
4:10 - Dōshi accepts Daisuke as his apprentice - the turning point of Daisukes fate
4:26 - Dōshi teaches Daisuke who merges the new knowledge with his previous skills and develops the school Togakure-ryū
5:43 - after the years go by, the legacy of Daisuke lives on within Togakure-ryū and finally spreads all over the world

After a busy period I'm back with a little composition and this time it's full-on christmas!

Advent Season

While playing on the piano, I came across a wonderful little melody and composed this emotional, magical piece around it.

The title and the intro was inspired by a video of Richard Pryn who talked about the "secrets of adventure vibe" trailer music. Great, inspiring stuff - you should check him out (https://www.youtube.com/@thetrailermusicschool).

Childlike Wonder

Music is fantastic in evoking emotions. But not always pleasant ones as in this case where it's supposed to make you feel tense and uncomfortable. 
This is one of the suspense tracks of the yet unreleased game Anthador.

I've created this creepy cover pic by adding some cat's eyes to the gaps of an old stone wall.

These Walls Have Eyes

This is another suspense track for the yet unreleased game Anthador.
To make it more organic I played in some cello swells (yeah - the first assignment for my new cello :-D) and guitar lines.
For the montage of the title image I used animal eyes again - can you guess which one?

Lurking in the Dark

This is the last suspense track for the yet unreleased game Anthador.
I always wanted to experiment with an odd meter and this was a good opportunity as it introduces the feeling of uncertainty the piece needed.
Additionally I recorded some subtle sound design elements (rolling hacky sack and fingers wiping a micro fiber cloth) to portray the „creeping menace“.
Though looking pretty creepy the cover art was a fun family project that involved rubbing our hands in dirt and a decent amount of image editing.

Hi there! I started to finally catch the melodies in my head in the beginning of January 2023. I use spitfires free bbc orchestra ,labs libraries and some original libraries. Looking forward to meeting fellow composers!
