Gurdjieff believed that most humans live their lives in a state of "waking sleep," in which they are largely unaware of their true nature and potential. He taught that through self-observation and conscious effort, individuals could awaken to their higher selves and gain access to a deeper understanding of the universe and their place in it.

One aspect of Gurdjieff's work that relates to the idea that the world as a simulation is his concept of "objective reality." He taught that most people are trapped in their subjective reality, which is distorted by their conditioning and beliefs. Objective reality, in contrast, is a more accurate perception of the world as it actually is, free from the distortions of individual perspective.

In this sense, Gurdjieff's work could be seen as a way of "hacking" the simulation of reality, by breaking through the illusions of subjective experience and accessing a more objective and truthful understanding of the world.

Nakamura Kusatao was born in Xiamen (China) in 1901 and moved to Japan in 1904.

He was influenced by contemporary Western philosophy, mostly Friedrich Nietzsche, and his poetry focused on themes of life and humanity. Together with Shuson Kato and Ishida Hakyo, Nakamura Kusatao was a member of the “Human Exploration School”, a group of poets who used haiku to explore and highlight "how human beings should live".

Nakamura Kusatao launched the magazine Banryoku in 1946, and his major collections include Chōshi, Hi no shima, Biden, and Toki.

Summer Cicadas

The old leather bound book smells of crusted honey. Flecks of dust and dried parchment rain from it's interior as you open it. Ancient hieroglyphs and diagrams point the way to the obsidian gate. 

A year later you walk through long forgotten caverns with lantern lit. You've finally found the underground lake. A tired face stares back at you from it's reflection. The air taste sweet down here and in the distance flutes echo of a buried civilization. The feeling of dread washes over you. This is your last chance to get her back from the underworld. 

Dark bass drone rumbles in the caverns under long forgotten cities. Ager Sonus has succeeded in creating an Egyptian backdrop that is accentuated with flutes and atmospheric layering. Occult and ethereal, this album is for lovers of Necromancy and the unexplored ruins beneath the sands of Egypt.
