february sucked but in march it got better.

each of these songs are in relation to my recent memories. thank you to the people of tyler texas; to all my friends for welcoming me here and making this feel like home. i wish i could press these days between the pages of a book and keep them forever. this is my attempt. this is for the goons. you all know who you are and i love each of you to bits.

i wrote these few songs all back-to-back last week sometime. i was having a crisis for a while about how much effort i wanted to put into my music -- and i would like to put out an album sometime later this year that i worked really hard on and put a lot of effort into -- but i like these songs, too. i think leaving them untouched does them justice.

here's to last minute trips to denton, buc-ee's at midnight, chris knight's porch, art nights, the alley, the smoking spots, the goon lagoon, and parking lots. you all served an inspiration.

this summer was sorta miserable. i was alone a lot, and i learned a lot. this past month i wrote thirty three songs that i'm turning into an EP, which i am planning on putting out october ninth. it's about being all by yourself and feeling hurt. i'm kinda stoked.

my beautiful friend and i watched the sun set last week and this cover picture is from that day. i always associate her with this song, and i decided to cover it. a lot of great memories are attatched to this little tune. it is so very important to me and my heart. hold on to memories and conversations and people who make you feel warm inside.
