Michael Mandal is about to chase away your New Year blues with his fun, feel good anthem "I Don't Know". 

The track initially found strong support from the likes of MK, Blonde and The Magician and many more, before blowing up on the dance floors of Dublin. 

Anton Powers, Mandal & Forbes and Dexcell perform remix duties for the track's full UK release.

One half of Mandal & Forbes, Michael Mandal first found success as Mick Willow. After holding DJ residencies all over the UK, as well as in Ibiza & Marbella, it was time to start producing.

Under the guise of Mandal & Forbes, Michael has remixed tracks for some of the hottest acts around including Philip George, Low Steppa, David Zowie and Lost Frequencies.

Expect to hear a lot more from this rising star in 2016.

Wasted ft. Matthew Koma

We welcome back Marc Marzenit for his second single on Tronic after is massive “Perron” release last year. This time Marc delivers a big musical track called “9909” and gives us three different versions. The original is a peak time piano infused track, the “Dark” mix is more techno affair, and the “Breaks” mix more alternative. In addition to this we have Tronic head honcho Christian Smith giving us a his interpretation of “9909”. His version is more stripped back and focuses on heavy filter action on chords with a phat groove.

Marc Marzenit - 9909LA (Christian Smith’s Filtered Dub Mix)

The Austrian based artist has celebrated an impressive 2015 through his Orsen production moniker. A man with a studious, considered approach to his craft, the use of field recordings and sound design are integral components of his impressive work that have helped him "stamp individuality" on his productions.

A debut for Optimized Recordings in 2014 was soon followed by the elegant "Look Twice" EP for Cid Inc.'s Replug, before a further triptych for Particles in the shape of the sumptuous "Elysium" found itself featuring on both the Evocative and Visceral compilations series. A remix of Biologik in September 2015 is now followed by a second Particles remix that delights with its flowing percussive groove and delightful melodic phrasing that pay tribute to Ad Brown's original in skilful manner while adding a dynamic layer of intrigue. Subtle side-chain pumping gives space for the various components to breathe and come together as a homogeneous whole in a sublime rework.

High "Calibre" work from has seen Ad Brown and Orsen reach the upper echelons of the modern underground dance scene.

Tarde and Ben Teufel team up for a juicy, threefold offering and kick things off with &#8220;Blackhills&#8221; which effortlessly combines retro synths and mechanized stabs with a stomping rhythm section and vocal snippets.&nbsp; &#8220;Anthrazit&#8221; continues in the same vein with crackling drums leading the way, while off-kilter samples provide the momentum and diva vocals add a touch of class.&nbsp; The effects-led &#8220;Stonegray&#8221; kicks things up a notch, taking audio manipulation to the next level with mangled vocals, erratic electronics, and what appears to be a distressed organ sample.

Tarde, Ben Teufel - Blackhills (Original Mix) [Say What? Recordings]

Late May will see Madhouse Records release ‘Madhouse Ibiza 2016’, featuring material from Till Von Sein, La Fleur, Jammhot and many more.

The long running Madhouse Records imprint is still very much a driving force for underground house music over two decades since it’s launch in 1992. Recent months have seen head honcho Kerri Chandler make a welcome return with his collaboration and reworking of ‘Track 1’ alongside Troy Denari, as well as material from Demarkus Lewis, Voyeur and Nacho Marco. Here though we see the label push on with a look towards the summer with the various artists compilation ‘Madhouse Ibiza 2016’.

As always with Madhouse the compilation treats us to an array of soul-laden and energy fuelled house music with some notable names like Till Von Sein, who opens the compilation with his smooth hypnotic number ‘Daze’ led by chiming marimba and wandering harp patterns. Watergate’s La Fleur takes things into darker realms with ‘Vervain’ via chuggy bass hits, swirling vocal licks and murky atmospheric textures, while JammHot lays the focus on fluttering Rhodes, a snaking square wave bass hook and hooky vocal hits.

Further contributions comes from the likes of Kiko Navarro with a dub infused house workout, Sebb Junior laying down a New Jersey garage vibe and Stefano Esposito & Timmy P with a stab-led, groove driven classic house cut amongst many more. As always Madhouse delivers high quality house designed squarely at the dance floor, this time round throwing a sun drenched feel to things for the upcoming Ibiza summer.

Madhouse Ibiza 2016 is out on Madhouse Records 20th May 2016.

Stefano Esposito & Timmy P - Sidewalk // Madhouse

With two releases already under his belt on Clone, Gary Gritness AKA Slikk Tim lands on Hypercolour with “The Sugar Cane Chronicles Vol. 1”.

Gritness may be a relatively new name on the block, but his session work for artists like Kenny Bobien, Louie Vega and Grant Nelson has marked up this multi-instrumentalist as a clear talent.  Hailing from France, Gritness had been spotted by Underground Resitance’s ‘Mad’ Mike Banks as ‘one to watch’, and on his Hypercolour release, displays a deft hand of producing futuristic funk sounds. 

A spot on blend of raw drum programming and blissfull jazz funk riffs, “Preachin Some Tight Game” sets the EP’s tone just right with its infectious melodies and cruising groove.  Darker 1980’s soundtrack vibes are explored on “Stayin’ Strong Hand” with its thick analogue atmosphere, whilst the laid back and freestyle vibes of “Working Girls” demands to be played in the Cadillac with the top down!  EP closer, “Fly Shit”, continues with the tranquil melodies and G-Funk factor.

MAAE comes at you with three attacks, and the title track is a stomping affair, complete with sounds nodding to the old school, streamlined synthesizers and a militant stab that clears everything in its way.&nbsp; &#8220;Right Code&#8221; takes a more subliminal route as mutating pads and ethereal vocals shift to center stage, while the steamrolling drums propel things to the next level.&nbsp; The EP closes with the even more esoteric &#8220;Take Your Bag&#8221;, where looped-out bleeps and dark, melodic overtones all come together to form a spooky vibe with the distressed synths barely being contained in the production confines.

Matt Sassari makes his solo debut on Phobiq with an astonishing 4 tracker EP titled &#8220;Ameno&#8221;. The title track is first up and delivers a straight-laced techno banger that builds on thick plump bass providing the backdrop for intriguing vocals . &#8220;Daytona&#8221; follows closely with a percussion heavy groove section, while &#8220;No Fear&#8221; brings crafty synthwork to the table. The EP closes with &#8220;Shaman&#8221; and twists your mind with hypnotical vocals and steady bassline.

We are happy to have 2pole back on Phobiq with their latest double tracker, titled &#8220;Restart / Wall&#8221;. 
Things get started with &#8220;Wall&#8221; where we are taken right into action with furious streamlined synths followed up by a hypnotical bassline. 
&#8220;Restart&#8221; goes in a different direction with pulsating bass and melodic percussions building up slowly to the chaotic synth breakdown creating a tense atmosphere, before taking us back gently where we started.
