Steam Shape return to Phobiq and get straight to business with &#8220;Leave It Behind&#8221;, a sparse, stomping and swinged-out number featuring a hypnotic vocal reiterating the title. &#8220;Numbness&#8221; is up next and lets the looped-out vocals unfold until a warped synth breakdown takes over. Closing up, we are introduced to the melodically-inclined &#8220;Sunbow&#8221; and its mysterious, metallic percussion taking center stage over the steamrolling rhythm section.

Closing in on the Kanzleramt 20th anniversary, we proudly introduce another classic track, originally released on Richard Bartzʼ Kurbel, “Souldancer”. In 2005 Heiko used the original Souldancer on his album Spread on Kanzleramt (ka123) and here come the all fueled up mixes by Heiko Laux and the Buenos Aires top producer Jonas Kopp.

"Total Departure" was originally released on Drumcode in 2008. While the minimal techno hype was in full swing back then this track was totally different and instantly became a big hit. With Adam Beyer's approval I decided to update this track, because I felt the production could be more tight and the original could do with an update. I kept the main elements that made the original so special and built new groove and implemented a shorter but equally powerful break. Its been a weapon in my recent sets. Hope you like it!" Eric gets straight to the point with the title-track, where we find him rolling out the percussion and bringing in classy, evolving synths over a rubber-band bassline; another testament to Eric's clever production skills, leaving ample room for each element to breathe. 'The Timeless' is a moody groover, with a persistent rhythm section being dominated by sonar-esque leads and samples mangled beyond recognition, giving a firm nod to the tribal side of things.

Eric Sneo - Fragmented (Original Mix) [Reload Black]

Julian Jeweil lands on Christian Smith’s Tronic label on Monday 5th December with his remix of the label-head’s ‘Initiate Sequence’. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the rework above.

The original track is taken from Smith’s third solo album ‘Inut/Output’, which also landed via Tronic earlier this year. For his remix, Jeweil pairs his trademark destructive low end with searing claps to destructive effect.

Jeweil’s cut comes as part of a remix package that also includes material from Kenny Glasgow, Kaiserdisco and Victor Ruiz.

Spartaque makes his long-awaited Phobiq debut with no less than four spacious cuts, all culminating to form a solid, cohesive EP. 
The title track sets the tone with a one-note squelch leading the way, while &#8220;American Hustle&#8221; continues in the same vein, adding discordant riffing and cavernous stabs. The percussion-led &#8220;Ghost Rider&#8221; changes things up a bit with its grinding rhythm section, allowing for the closing &#8220;Placebo&#8221; to emerge with its acidic lead and melodic overtones.

With the release of Rebekah’s debut album ‘Fear Paralysis’ imminent,‘1997 Reprise EP’ is the final single to be taken from this lethal LP. Rebekah goes back to her roots with the title track and follows this up with some typical stormers, exclusive to this release. 

Title track 1997 Reprise, taken from Fear Paralysis, sees Rebekah taking on a more deep, broken beat piece. Built upon a quirky, flexing groove, dystopic synth work keeps the darker edge of this track intact. From here on, Rebekah unleashes her more virulent strain of Techno for which she is widely known. Spellbound kicks off with standard issue thumping rhythms but is cleverly spliced with subtle synth sequences. Unfound Truths brings a more haunting vibe with eerie strings used to great effect, engaging a more emotive feel. Rounding off is the frantic For The Last Time. However, no time is wasted getting things moving at frenzied pace as furious percussion is bolstered by incessantly hyper sequences. 

With such high anticipation for Rebekah’s debut album, this EP further impresses the fact that Rebekah truly is one of Techno’s top artists.

Premiere: Agent Orange 'Overshadow' (Original Mix) - Bitten

The latest EP on Respekt Recordings combines techno talent from Germany and France, as GNTN and The Reactivitz join forces for the release of Gravity. 

The EP is a strong outing from this collaboration, which is expected from artists that include labels such as Endless Music, Toolroom and Phobiq in their resumés.  The original track is mechanical and industrial in nature, with heavy drums and catchy bass synths throughout. For his remix Giorgio Rusconi adds a darker touch to the track, turning it into a broody and captivating techno piece perfect for peak-time play.

We are happy to have 2pole back on Phobiq with their latest double tracker, titled &#8220;Restart / Wall&#8221;. 
Things get started with &#8220;Wall&#8221; where we are taken right into action with furious streamlined synths followed up by a hypnotical bassline. 
&#8220;Restart&#8221; goes in a different direction with pulsating bass and melodic percussions building up slowly to the chaotic synth breakdown creating a tense atmosphere, before taking us back gently where we started.

Remain Limited 45 presents one more package that is signed by Mediterranean artists: Greek heavy-weight Axel Karakasis comes all strong with Closed. Funkiness in a dubby background sprinkled with supernatural synths is the trademark of the original mix. Firm and perky, this one’s rather irresistible! 
Luigi Madonna delivers an oh-so-yummy remix. Faithful to the dark side of the original, Luigi proves a tease-master with his version, which is a seductive and nicely streamlined take of Closed. 
The release wouldn’t be complete without a bit of a twist! Open is one groovy hell-raiser, bringing together atmospheric and pumpy, tribal and funkiness in this well built and solid structured track.
