I wrote 'What If It Rains' from a space of trying to challenge myself, because I’ve been judging my art as harshly as I judge myself. These days online, you're constantly seeing better and better content, and apathy feels like it’s always around the corner. But you can’t create if you judge your ideas before you’ve even tried them. I wrote this for anyone who knows they need to step out of their comfort zone and take a chance on themselves.

eyes upon a sizable portion chasin a fortune  
finally got my ass off my porch and into a porche 
and realized my Taurus still got enough horses 
keep perspective into proportion 
keep flows wet as a porpoise nose and floors of the ocean 
i keep to myself my words are fortress 
they wanna pull me out shell so they can body the tortoise 
my hair (hare) stood up I already know this 
born on point and sharp like front of a swordfish 
son of a shark with soul and mother that’s gorgeous 
kill on instinct like motherless orcas 
off the hook line and sinker 
you run of the mill 
I’m that one in a mil type of occurrence 
to flourish in the torrents that occur in the currents 
and currently a deep thinker 
and there’s a lot to know stop drop and roll lock and load 
shit’s deep and I’m Jaque Cousteau   
I’m in another league depth don’t trouble me 
gauge read 20 Gs one man submarine 
man - when will these fools learn 
put it on my family jewels that I’m Jules Verne 
that ship sailed they failed to FATHOM my right brain
shouldda thought TWICE I’m a modern day MARK TWAIN

Make Believe

This is a comma pump in porcupine which goes up by three 6/5's and then down two 4/3's back to 1/1. I designed it as an example of something that I thought sounded perfectly "natural," but which doesn't work at all in 12-EDO. I'll use this in a piece somewhere down the road.

The tuning here is 22-EDO.
