"The instrumental for "A Heat That Melts The Thoughts In Your Head" was in parts for such a long time. I love constructing certain guidelines and rules with songs, and this I wanted to be a really tight call-and-response structure within all the melodies throughout. A lot of the drums were entire loops of live drums I was reshuffling about. The title of the track, much like a lot of my songs is a quote from a certain American author. But that is a secret who exactly..

After my single on Activia Benz came out, me and Ducky got chatting online and we started collaborating on a load of different work. I designed the artwork for her releases with B.YRSLF and Nest HQ, and more recently a compilation with US based art collective Net Elite. She's really inspiring and super productive. I genuinely love her productions and releases so it's easy to create something based on the audio. She shot this vocal for "A Heat...." over a half-finished beat almost immediately, and I agonised over how to finish the track around it. The lyrics work perfectly with the concept of the EP, the whole song sounds like friction in a relationship slowly building. Itchy synths and skittering hihats with a bittersweet performance from Ducky.

The track's artwork is one of seven images I produced as a personification for each track that follows my design and artistic style pretty closely, but realised in photographic form."

„I had met Joris on Facebook randomly and we instantly started sending each other music for the other to play on! Joris played drums on a couple of tracks on my recent album on !K7 Records ( Headroom ) and he asked if I fancied doing something on this beat he had - so I laid down Bass / Guitar / Vocals and ‘It’s Alright’ was born.

During the lockdown its felt even more important to try and send a positive message when possible! This is our sunshine drenched ITS GONNA BE ALRIGHT track. A dash of Disco / a sprinkle of Soul / a splash of Sunshine / and a few volts of Electronica 

Interesting point - This is my first Trumpet performance on a track - having played the instrument for only 5 days since lockdown! :-)

We were also joined on the track by British Saxophonist Charlie Carroll & BVS from duet Peter & Kerry.“
