10 Pianos is a piano-based electronic piece composed for Piano Day 2022.
Recorded with 10 different pianos, within 10 hours, and produced in 10 days.

The experiment took place on February 14th at the Piatino Pianoforti in Turin, Italy - an artisan production factory founded by Giovanni Piatino and Adele Piatino in 1910, to house the Steinbach brand. The idea behind this project was to enter the facility and let myself be carried away by the unique location and its instruments - and to document this special moment in time with both music and film.  

All the sounds you can hear in the composition are the original of each of the ten instruments: Petrof, Colombo, Steinbach, Steinway & Sons, Förster, Kupfer, Bechstein, Erard, Negro, Blüthner.

Wow, on March 26 achieves 3024 songs; two-thirds of the target(4536).
Can you believe it?
The distribution of the 21st selection album "Giouji no Omoi" commemorating the achievement of 2/3 of the goal began today on music distribution services around the world.
At the same time, we started distributing the full 4K video of this album on Youtube. This video is full of all songs (20 songs 50 minutes), but it's free. Furthermore, the video is edited and created by chairhouse using Artgrid's super beautiful video material. We recommend that you watch it once.

It has been 10 years in the making, but I've finally made it to the end of the KS soundtrack. While it is a bittersweet feeling, I'm comforted to know that I've officially completed my own piano collection of the entire Katawa Shoujo soundtrack. 

Many of you have requested for my KS covers to be published onto Spotify, and this is already in the making (along with Apple Music and all major music streaming platforms/stores). And while this may be my final KS piano cover, I plan for one final KS upload sometime in the near future... 

...but for now...here's my piano solo arrangement of "Comfort". And most importantly, thank you all kindly, especially to those who have stuck around since my very first KS cover in 2012. It means a lot to know that these covers have meant something to you.

Victor Birkan resides in Beer Sheva, Israel. In his youth, he obtained a classical musical education in St. Peterburg, Russia. Even then, he showed an interest in piano improvisation, although his teachers did not encourage it too much. Then came a long break… Victor tried different professions – biologist, computer IT. His passion for music did not interrupted, but he only started playing regularly again around 2016, and in 2018 began posting his compositions.
After receiving positive feedbacks on social media, he focused on improvised music. He is deeply convinced that improvisation is not a privilege of jazz, it is the classical piano that finds its way to people's hearts. Victor Birkan never prepares for his recordings. Sitting down at the piano, he has no idea where to start, what will be in the middle and how he will finish. The melody will come from somewhere... He seeks to capture pure emotion and splash it onto the keyboard. Practically does not use computer effects. His listeners often write about the "magic", bewitching influence of his compositions.
Over the past year, Victor’s composition, “Between Night and Day”, has been nominated for Best Solo Piano Single by the ONE WORLD MUSIC RADIO, and some interesting compositions have been created in collaboration with Yellow Roze Records label. Victor is constantly striving to expand his audience.
