In 300,000 years, our frail species has managed, above all thanks to its extraordinary adaptability, to climb to the top of the pyramid of terrestrial life.



It has also been able to domesticate other animal species to help it in its development. The first of the species with which it has been able to collaborate is the dog whose genetic lineage differs from that of the wolf... 100'000 years ago.



By way of comparison, the goat or the cow will only be domesticated about 90'000 years later.



Humans nowadays even influence the climate, geology and genetics. Our scientific and industrial progress is going far too fast for our mentalities.



Proof of this is the difference in our living conditions at the time of the domestication of the wolf compared to today. At the time, humans were not sedentary and lived by seasonal gathering and hunting. The dog accompanied him and allowed him to become sedentary.



Therefore, how can we imagine in our day and age that with the development of our consciousness built on the exploitation of other species, we can continue to treat them in this way? Our technologies have developed food without suffering, without death. Recycling and nanoparticles make leather and fur obsolete.



Yet in Asia, people still eat dog food, while in the West, it is used for cosmetic, medical or tobacco tests.



Nowadays, it is shameful to claim for a species that dominates the world, that dog exploitation or even exploitation of any species is still necessary. We have no rights over other animals but rather a moral and philosophical duty of conscience to do something to give them back some of the comfort and wealth we have created from their suffering and exploitation.



Tek.ka puts us face to face with our responsibilities. Through the prism of the China or Korea where the dog is still eaten, do we question ourselves to stop wearing leather that we know can come from dogs? Do we still buy "dermatologically tested" products, medicines tested on animals? And what are we doing to prevent tobacco companies from continuing to torture dogs?
