The eighth episode of my monthly show on Ma3azef Radio, which originally aired in February, 2021.

An hour long mix of early 20th century music and sound art from the Soviet Union inspired by Andrey Smirnov’s fantastic Sound in Z. Features sounds ranging from the earliest synthesizers to a symphony of industrial sirens, proto-musique concrete and lots of factory sounds. My favourite show so far.

James recently released two compilations on mailbox: a charity compilation for Ukraine titled Siren Songs and a collection of pieces taken from James' various releases for labels since 2017.

This is a VERY disparate selection of some recent, and some very non-recent bangers all of which have an element of distortion, be that dreamy, hazy saturation or ruined fuzz running through the composition
