Albanian Sub Base

The second half of my set at Deep Space this past Sunday. Pictured next to me in the photo is the one and only 'Mixmaster' Michael Gomes, who was playing lights all night as only he can.

Things started pretty normal in this mix, but what I found interesting is that it kept building up in intensity and actually got rather  emotional towards the end. Besides myself and Michael in the booth, we're talking about how those people who were actually there in person seemed to feel. Will it translate that way when listening over a stream? Good question.

But don't expect much if any 'beat-mixing' to speak of for the last hour. Yet another most interesting observation: less beat-mixing, more emotion. I certainly welcome comments on this particular topic.

One thing I know for sure: there were so many beaming faces  when the lights came up, and the sort of joyful vibe which I treasure so much.

Everyone loved the new Sheriff - but their joy was to turn to horror...

The Wrong Sheriff - A Tale of the West

A quick and dirty demo including riding the volume control and adding some vibe. See markers on the song for more info. 

Clean(ish) tone from amp followed by Fuzz on and then playing with guitar volume control going between 10 for dirt and 7 for cleanish. Then some vibe added. Everything is on the neck pickup except towards the end there is brief demo of it on the bridge pickups before then going back to neck with the tone rolled off for a more 'woman tone' feel before finally going back to no vibe and strat volume 7 for a couple of chords.
